Wicker! Wicker Everywhere...

I finished the weaving and trim on the settee.  Now all I have to do is the upholstery.

Of course, before I could get out the fabric that I thought would work, Tessie invaded!
She specified that if I get to do the upholstery, she gets to pick the fabric... This could take a while.  She has a lot of trouble sticking to one pick...

Meanwhile, she told me that I could work on a foot bench... She dug around and found a table top that will work.

At least, if I'm working on that, I won't be wasting a lot of time, like she is doing...

All I have to do is poke in the wires and go to work.

For some reason, she now wants all of the base pieces for new furniture in every photo...

She seems to do the opposite of out of sight, out of mind...

In site and get to work.

She tells me that she can crowd these pieces into the conservatory until I "make a place" for them...

Do you think that means a new room box or a new mansion?  I am hoping for the room box. I am not in the mood for a 37 room mansion.  That's what she mentioned, in passing, yesterday. I am now holding my breath to keep from locking her out of the house. It's not working very well... I have to breath sometime.  When I do, I am going to start chasing a witch around the house with a large broom in hand.

Or maybe I will just take a long nap with Kota. Yeah. That's the ticket! Nap Time!

See you tomorrow.

I'm with you, Casey. There's nothing nicer than curling up for a nap with a soft, warm purring kitty tucked in against you! I miss mine so much> :-( On the other hand - I love your wicker work, as always. I got brave enough last year to purchase a kit for making a wicker chair - just not brave enough to actually try it out yet. - Marilyn D., Oromocto, NB, Canada

Go for it, Marilyn! Sit yourself down. Read the directions at least three times an then just take it step by step. Good luck!

I understand Tessie! This sofa is very nice and comfortable. I'm sure she'll choose the perfect upholstery.
