Just a short note...I got on the computer this morning. Hit the button for dashboard and panicked! Dashboard said I didn't have a blog and politely asked if I would like to start one!
I went round and round trying to find out what happened. The only way I could contact them was by asking a question in the forum pages. I asked.... I called Walter and asked him what browser we were on. That shows you how panicked I was...
This part took me about 30 minutes. I wrote the question and posted it. Then I went back to dashboard... You guessed it. Some kind soul at blogger had read my question and restored the blog!
Now I only have one problem. I can't remember where I went to post the question. I would like to take it down. I can't find it.....How is your day going? Better than mine, I hope.
I will be back later with today's entry. I feel like I just wasted a half hour running in circles... I need a mini fix. I am going to work on Zar's place.
See you later.
Don't forget to poke the photos to enlarge!

There Will Be a Slight Pause....
I don't think that I told you that the old computer died a horrible death last week.
Walter ordered a new Dell and it got here yesterday. He did all of the set up and got it ready.
We lost the address book and some of our bookmarks. I have spent the morning trying to replace some of them. It wasn't easy because the laptop lost it's connection to the wireless somehow.
Tessie is no help what so ever. She thinks that it is a new jungle gym and has been swinging from the cd/dvd port. At least she is having fun.
Meanwhile, I have also been cleaning out the inbox. It had close to 2500 e mails that the crazy thing downloaded. I couldn't figure out how that could happen as I had just deleted all of the mail before the old computer went out.
The only way that we could figure out how to get rid of them was push control and poke a bunch of them then the delete button. On the old computer, the way Outlook express was set up, I could just do "edit", then "select all" and the whole bunch of letters would turn blue and you could eliminate them with one push of the button. If you push "select all" on Office, it takes everything, including the account names.
Tessie thinks it's funny. I don't. I lost my sense of humor after pushing that button about 1500 times....Here you see how many more times I still have to go. I quit. I am walking away. Maybe by tomorrow, we will have this figured out. If my fingers hold out that long, I will see you then.

Short and Not So Sweet....Broken Computer...

Our other one either didn't like our loading i tunes on it or it just finally turned its toes up and died. Not sure which just yet.
Walter is going to take it in tomorrow to see if it can be fixed or if we are going to have to start from scratch again....Bah Humbug!
As soon as I explained what was going on to Tessie, she whipped out her favorite wand and started waving it around, all the while trying to convince me that she could fix computers. Her only result was a "Starry, Starry Night" on the screen of the laptop.
Did I mention that I hate typing on this laptop? It is always two steps forward and three steps back. Soooooo.......I am taking the rest of today off.
I cooked a turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, gravy and all of the rest of the traditional Thanksgiving treats this morning. It's not that we didn't have anything to eat on Thanksgiving. The problem was no leftovers. That's the best part!
I am going now to take the wand away from Tessie before she turns the lap top into an old fashioned portable typewriter. Remember those? And here I sit, complaining about a laptop keyboard.
I apologise for the lack of minis today, but I need to relax for the rest of the day. And I need to practice typing on this confounded machine!
See you tomorrow, hopefully in a better mood.
