Slipping Away...

When I got up this morning, Tessie was missing.  She untangled herself and went on her merry way.

I don't think that she is going to get very far on the grape vines.  She simply tangled them around the potting shed.  She left the grapes on the porch.  Then she headed for the hills!

I started looking for her.  I didn't have to look far.
I looked to the right and she was hiding behind the gargoyle  clock.  Not to hard to find.  She was out in the open and more to the side of the clock than behind it.

As soon as I yelled "Tessie!" she disappeared in a puff of smoke!

I looked in on several of the room boxes.  She is getting better at hiding. In this one she was hiding behind the Elizabethan lady.  I almost missed her. If she hadn't sneezed, I probably would not have seen her.

She must have told the lady to be quiet.  The sneeze did it.

Again she disappeared. This time in misty cloud of something pink.
The third time, I almost missed her again.  She was on the top shelf hiding in one of my gourd baskets.  This time her curiosity got the better of her.  She lifted her head and I grabbed her.
I took her over and sat her on Victor's tape bar. I didn't even try to talk to her. I simply said, "Victor, keep her here until she agrees to finish the vines.

I do believe that was enough to at least keep her out of my way for the rest of the day.

I am doing other things now.  She is stuck.  Victor won't let her go unless she agrees to go work on the grapevines.  He's on my side!

You've gotta love a dragon that likes grapes and wants them to start growing and producing as soon as possible.

I am going to do other things now.  Sooner or later Tessie is going to give in and work on the grapevines. I am through working for the day.

Tessie's not.

See you tomorrow.

Gardening and Tameing Tessie...

For the past two years, I have been slacking off in the gardening department.  I am having to start over on a lot of things. The Pomegranate tree and the fig are going great guns right now. I am not worried about them, but some of the other plants are shot.
I had a rose bush growing under the bedroom window... What is left of it is holding up the "Peace Rose" that I am going to plant in it's place. I remember my dad having one of those in the back yard when I was a kid in Phoenix.  If he could get them to grow there, I am sure that they will grow here.

All I have to do is plant it and water it more than I did the one that was there.

When I was recovering, I didn't have a lot of interest in digging and watering.  Now I want to get back at it.

I have some geraniums to plant against the back wall.

The purple bougainvillea is going where the stick like red one was that is back against the wall. I am actually excited about getting things going again.

Tessie went out there with me.  She investigated the Forest Fantasy Cottage and then turned up her nose and went back inside.  She wants nothing to do with it, now that it has become a place for the birds.

When I came in, she was sitting on Victor's tape bar telling him how mean I was for giving it to the birds.

I don't think that he really cares.  He just sits there looking down the end of his nose at her.  Every once in a while a little smoke escapes his right nostril. He coughs a bit and then grins at her... It is wicked grin and I do hope that she is not making the wrong impression on him. He has been known to bite heads off when he doesn't like something that is being said. I guess that I should go check on how things are going in there... So far, I haven't heard any howling from him or screaming from Tessie. I guess they are OK.

Back to the farm. See you tomorrow.

After Christmas Cleaning Should Never Happen!!!

I Started with the bedside table.  Not bad.  I got it cleaned in no time and didn't run into any problems.  No unfinished projects...
The telephone table was a bit riskier.  Three pair of unfinished socks and a hat...

Don't ask about the ones that I hid in the closet.  I was just cleaning the tables.  Not the boxes of yarn that I put in the closet yesterday... The socks will all get finished some time... This year?  Next year?
I cleaned off the work table... Victor is very proud.  After all, that is where he has to live.

I can get back to work there at any time!

Then I made the mistake of opening one of the drawers where I keep unfinished rugs...

We aren't going to talk about the other two drawers like this... Not a word!

I am planning on finishing the Rya in the right bottom corner before I do anything else. That is the one that I started for The He Shed.  It is about three quarters done.   I am going back in and clean the bathroom now... One problem... All of my unfinished jewelry pieces are in there... Again. We are not going to talk about this.

See you tomorrow.
