OK. I am going to try again... and again... and yet again. Until I get it right.
It only took me a couple of weeks for the mess to happen this time.
Obviously, something is wrong with the system...
I purchased eight brown file type boxes at Walmart for a VERY good price the other morning. I need more space. The baskets that I had some of the things stuffed in weren't working.
The plastic Plano and Rubbermaid boxes are not where they belong.
There are a lot of things that I keep hanging on to that really need to go away...
I brought my old sewing chair in to have a place for visitors to sit... It works well to pile stuff on... Still no place to sit...
My wood is in two different places. Here on the wall and in the top drawer of the beading bookcase... Opposite sides of the room...
We won't discuss what is hiding in the large basket on the shelf... Actually, I have no idea what is in there...
I swear that gremlins live in this room and have parties every night!
Again, I would rather not talk about the bottom shelf of the bead storage area... It scares me to even think what the gremlins did there...
I think that the problem is, I never quite get the room all the way clean, before starting to mess it up again.
I need to purge! I shall do that starting now!
See you tomorrow.

Hi Casey. Lots of luck with the purging! I hope you make more progress than I do! I have a bad case of not letting things go.

This sounds like the story of my studio! Especially the need to purge!
Get a folding chair for your guest ;)
Life is full of temptations. Try chanting when you drive by a thrift store...want versus need, want versus need.
Karin, what would be the fun in that? I might have missed the two mini houses and a front porch at five dollars each. That was a few years ago, but it was all at the same thrift store and all in one day! That's why I keep stopping.
Hello Casey,
I think we all try to keep our spaces neat and clean, but remember, true genius was never born in a tidy place. (that's my story and I'm sticking to it!)
Big hug,
Giac
Hi Casey! I just did a purge myself and took a whole pile of stuff to the thrift store which filled up a 30% off my next purchase there. So I came out with a goodly amount. I have enjoyed all the items that you have purchased in the past and I agree with you entirely, there are SCORES that you can sometimes find, deals that you can uncover but the Fun is in the frequent looking! :D
Giac, I must Realy be a Geniusof the highest order or maybe just very messy!
Elizabeth, thanks for backing me up. Thrift shopping is almost a full time job! If you don't stop there when you are in the neighborhood, you might miss the buy of a lifetime!
It happens to all of us!
You're not alone! My husband is repainting my studio today, and I am already dreading all the re-organizing that will take place in the next days!
