Killing Time... With No AC...

I took a quilt to keep me busy yesterday... I got very little done.  Someday my quilt will be done... But not anytime soon, I fear.  This thing is done by hand with a needle and thread.  Did I mention that it will be king sized when it's finished...?
Last night Walter found that the water line for the air conditioning was leaking, by the back door.  Inside.  Not a good situation this time of year.  It is supposed to be over 100 today.  We have a call in to the repair place.

I decided that I didn't want to start working with my head stuck in a dollhouse.  If the repair people come, I will have to stop, so I am finding other things to do.  Nothing new to show, as a result.

Tessie, Spike and I went out to the back yard to keep you entertained.

That is my first Japanese Eggplant that Tessie is eyeing...  As soon as she saw it, she said, "That doesn't even look like an egg.  It's cute, but I don't know about eating an egg that is long and purple.  It smells funny too...".

So much for Tessie trying out a new food.  If it were a cookie tree, maybe it would be a different story.

She is a fan of the tiny tomatoes.

I have a goodly bunch of yellow grape tomatoes coming along...  I accidentally mentioned the name.  That just brought on another controversy.  She started with, "These don't taste anything like grapes and they are the wrong color.  That's a silly name for them. Why didn't they just call them "Tessie's Tiny Yellow Tomatoes?  That makes a lot more sense."

She doesn't know that, there are some that are almost ready for picking, down by Spike's nose.  I am not telling her either.  I am saving them for next Wednesday, when I have the witchy meeting.  I may only have one or two per person, but I can at least say that I grew something good to eat...

Now if I can just keep my hands of off them until next week.... Oh well... There is always the produce department at the grocery store, down the street....  Just in case...

I think that I am going to go back to the quilt or the lace.  With those, I just have to put down the needle and walk away.  No bumping my head on the ceiling of the kitchen whilst backing out of the house with those.

See you tomorrow.
