I was trying to think of a fast way to do towels for the kitchen and bath this morning...
While I thought, I stitched a bit on the rug for the bedroom... Sooner or later it will be finished. I just keep plugging along on it.
Then Tessie had a brilliant idea. She threw the rug down and started rummaging through the cross stitch drawers...
When she stopped, she had found the start of six other projects... I am notorious for starting things and then shoving them in the drawers to be finished later...
These were starts of various borders for rugs and even one for a full sized sampler...
She shoved them under my nose and said, "Are you ever going to finish any of these?"
I sheepishly answered..."Probably not..."
Continuing, she said, "OK. Make towels! You don't need more starts for rugs and other projects, but Daisy needs towels!"
She is right. I shall coat the edges with white glue on the back, before I cut them and I will have quite a few new towels. I won't even miss the rugs or whatever they were going to be...
As I got to work, she dug around a bit more and found this...
She grabbed a needle and finished the three French knots at the end and as she did she said, "I think that you need a new purse patch... Finish this and sew it to the side of one of your purses... I do believe it is only fair to warn people that you are coming..."
With that, she disappeared in a puff of smoke and I could hear mad laughter coming from further and further away...Then it disappeared altogether...
I don't think that it is me that needs the purse with a patch... But I couldn't catch her to pin it to her skirt.
People be warned! Tessie is on the loose again!
See you tomorrow.
