Always the Gentleman...

I went to town this morning for supplies...I didn't get a lot of mini-ing done.

When I got back and unloaded all of the groceries, I decided that, before I put the crenelations on the roof of the porch, I would sit down and do a sketch to see what it looked like.  Ick!  Too many teeth sticking up around the edge of the building.   am going back to wrought iron.

The other thing that I was wondering about was the tower room at the peak of the roof.  I don't think that I am liking that as much as I thought I would either...

It may be time for a new direction...But what?  I will have to think on it a bit.
Meanwhile, I did a sketch for the bay window draperies.  Those, I like so far...

Above the bay, there is a small ledge that sticks out, where the bay roof attaches to the wall.  It was a bit awkward.  I decided to turn it into the top of a valance box.  At least I am happy with that.

All the time I was sketching, Tessie was pulling at my sleeve, asking for cookies.  She does that quite a lot when she knows I am just back from town...
Here's where the gentleman comes in.  Zar grabbed her and pulled her out of the room.  He gave her a small box of chocolates and Spike got cookies...

All was quiet for a while.

About the time I finished the sketches, I heard Tessie yelling up a storm.
You can't hold a bad witch down for long.

She talked Zar into helping her raid the snack jar...He knows that he will get his share of what she pilfers.

Then there was a scream from Tessie....I went to look....This is what I encountered.

Zar, always the gentleman, had loaned out the use of his broad shoulders for her to stand on, so that she could reach the Chex Mix.

Yes.  He averted his eyes and ignored the fact that she was getting footprints all over his shoulders.  Always the gentleman... Until someone gets stuck under the lid.  Then panic sets in....

I got there just in time.  I grabbed the lid and Tessie, just as he started pulling away.  One more step backwards and he would have left Tessie hanging...No more Mr. Nice Guy.  Every man, and woman for him/her self.

I left the lid off of the jar and put Zar's ladder up against the side.  Both of them are now happily running back and forth between the jar and their respective abodes.  Tessie to the town house and Zar to the Tudor trailer.  They are both using gunny sacks to carry the loads... I think that there are about two inches left in the bottom... Oh well.  I can either go back and get some more or.... I know where they live...Retaliation time!

See you tomorrow.

I love the look of the draperies. I wish I could draw like that. When I try to sketch out my ideas a few days later I can't interpret them because I can't draw with any sense of perspective.

goodness you'd think they'd watch their waistline with all those Jessica Simpson/Marie Osmond/Sharon Osbourne commercials on TV telling us we have to look like them to be happy (unless they dont watch TV and missed the mass hypnosis)

It's simple...They watch what I watch. Netflix and Hulu+ have very few commercials and I have only seen one Jessica Simpson one...When they were out of the room.
