Please! I Am Trying to Read Here!

I'm in trouble now... Look what Widget got for Christmas!  I tried to hide it, but he found it.
My Elf wears the same size socks as Amare.  If one doesn't like them, the other one will.

I started this one last night.  I am going to make it so that it slides over the carrying strap through the bottom.  The nice thing about Elf socks, is they don't have heels.

Walter took the other camera back yesterday and they gave him a new one, without questioning, when he showed them the photos.
As for the 1/2 scale box, it is almost done.

I will take better photos when it is finished.  I just wanted to show you that I fixed the chairs and their upholstery.  I painted the chairs themselves burnt sienna. And I freshened up the paint on the fireplace.

The upholstery is the same as it was before, however, I did paint it with brick red acrylic paint.

Yes.  You can paint fabric.  If you try it, be sure to use your fingers or a Kleenex to rub it in and make it even.  No blobs on top.

It will just be a bit stiffer when dry, but I like the color much better than the fire engine red that it was before.  This tones it down a bit.  I can see that the closest chair needs the seat re-glued.

The two ladies in the photo were my first attempt at 1/2" scale dolls about 20 years ago.  I have to repaint the faces.  They are getting rather worn.

They are in a permanent pose.  The dresses are made of pleated trim that was around at the time that I made them.  I am not sure if it is still in stores.

Anyway, I am going to go see if I can trade the book for some tuna fish now....I think that Widget comes up with enough ideas for getting into trouble, without an instruction manual.

See you tomorrow.

Hi Casey. That's funny! A devious book for cats. My cat sure doesn't need one of these! She gets into enough trouble on her own.

Phyllisa, did you notice the authors' names? It's by Fluffy and Bonkers! LOL

Cute book. I hope they don't bring one out for dogs. With three dogs we would really be in trouble! Your dolls look great and the costumes fall beautifully. I am shortly going to have my first attempt at doll making but I need to make a man for my toy shop project. I suggest there will be many failed attempts on the journey, but all good fun.

Cute pic of widget! I love your dolls and the one standing up, her dress is gorgeous!

Lucille, believe it or not, all I did was cut a little piece of the trim, and sew one seam. Then I put a bow on the back. That was it.

I never would have guessed. It looks like it could have been a finicky piece to make! Very pretty!

Hi Again Casey. Yes, I did notice the book was "written" by Fluffy and Bonkers. And I also noticed the title says A Devious Book FOR Cats, not A Devious Book ABOUT Cats. Yes, FUNNY!
I guess cat owners see things differently.I know when I paint, I ask my cat if she wants to paint too. She sits at the top of her kitty condo and stares at me painting just below. I'll let you know if she ever does. I wonder how much I can sell one of her paintings for? Probably more than mine!
