Not Even a Day....

 OK.  We are going to have to think about the stained glass windows.  They are fine as long as you look at them head on... Drift to one side or the other and they are a double line and very obviously not a solid piece of lead. 

Unlike the effect that the golf tape gives on thin plastic, on this it is really obvious.

I tried just on one side, but when I did that, the opposite side, the one without the lead, was shiny and sticky looking...Glue on the lead.

I am still thinking.

Meanwhile, I did the roof.  Here it is with just a mixture of charcoal, burnt sienna, and dove gray.

I knew that I was going to add more color with Prismacolors, so I wasn't too fancy about the paint.

 The left panel is the same as above. the right is with the addition of some black shading under each scallop and some off white on the tip of each.

I went over the whole thing here and there with a bronze pencil.

Here it is with the addition of some strips of  metallic copper scrapbook card stock.  I cut it in 1/2" strips and folded it down the middle.  Glued it on and put a six petal bead cap on top.  I will probably add some kind of finial on the top, but the glue on the cap isn't dry yet.

Not too bad for shingles that are essentially poster board.  The pencils definitely help.

You may be wondering where Tessie is hiding...

It took me a while to find her.

Not even 24 hours.  About fifteen minutes after I left you yesterday, she looked at me and said in a whiny voice..."This is sooooo boring!  I can't do it anymore.  I must take a break now."

That was yesterday... I finally found her this morning.  She retreated to Zar's Pit.

When I looked in, she was lounging on the couch, with a whole plate of cookies on her lap and a drink on the coffee table..

Zar sidled over to me and whispered..."Get her out of here! I can't get anything done with her munching and gurgling in my ear."

He does like his privacy, now that he has a place to be alone with his books. 

I guess that I should finish the tower room in a hurry.  If I don't, Tessie is probably going to make the stay permanent and that would put me on Zar's enemies list...I would rather be on her list...A least she doesn't have an atomic squirt gun, filled with who knows what.
