The cigar display case that I got from Sue a few months ago was sticking it's toes over the edge of the top shelf in the closet this morning...
Tessie saw it sticking out and nudged it until it fell. Luckily I was there to catch it.
She grabbed the blue tape and threw it at my head, saying, "It's MY turn!".
I measured and cut triangles of foam core that were the same size as the panels at the top. I just made them as tall as the piece of foam core that I had would allow.
Then I cut panels that would cover each of the six sections of the outside of the plexi-glass walls. I didn't cut the panels all the way through. I left one layer attached so that I could bend them around and see what it would look like.
Tessie wanted tall windows all around....I am not so sure. I am going to have to do panels on the inside that match, using the plexi as the glass. This should be interesting....I am not sure if I can make them match.
Don't ask what this structure is going to be. We are still discussing that aspect of the project.
Since it just "fell" into my lap, I have to think on it a bit and do some more
It looks a bit like a stone tower to me, but I am getting somewhat tired of stonework.
As you can see, two of the sections swing out. There is a lock on the door...However... It seems that the key is nowhere to be found.
I imagine that is Tessie's doing...She loathes locks.
Anyway, we will work on it for a few days and see what takes shape. Sometimes, no plan is the best plan.
Tessie disappeared a while ago and when she returned, she zapped herself, her chair and footstool that match her apron into the building.
She announced, "I am not budging from this spot until you finish this for me!"
Great! If I never finish it, I can have peace and quiet for a long, long time... I think I will go read a book or take a nap.
See you tomorrow.

Great idea and it looks wonderful either for a garden or reading. She is right you must finish it, this of the peace. Hugs, Jean
I look forward to seeing what you and Tessie decide this will become.
Great display case! And great friends who give you such great things!
