The Party Is On!!!!!

Celebrate! Kind of....  The party started early this morning.

Now, after taking photos, I see some things I need to fix.

All I have to do now is wait for the party to go away.  Then I can fix them.

The main thing that needs fixing is a shade in front of the florette lights at the front of the box.  I didn't check to see if they would show when the box is closed.  That is easily fixed with a strip of black card stock across the front.

The other thing that needs fixing is the wire coming from the light hanging over the desk.

I found another light that I liked better than the globe.
I was not looking for it at the time.  I was looking for accessories for the rest of the room.

This one solves all of the problems that I was having with shadows in the bookworm area.  It is more or less directional to the desk.  Or it will be a desk, when these people leave and I can move the bar.

I will also either move the light back a bit or move the desk forward.
OK.  I kicked everybody out, so I could finish.  I pulled the desk out a bit.  Much easier than changing the placement of the light.

Now all I have to do is the black paper in front of the lights at the top.  \

Oh! And a door knob for the front of the box.

I am going to miss working on this one.  It was fun from start to finish....

There are little people sitting here and there around the room just waiting for me to leave.  I have a feeling that the Terrible Two plus one has turned into the terrible two plus ten...Plus whomever arrives late for the party.

Discretion is the better part of valor, as the saying goes....I am going someplace that is not here for the rest of the day.  I'm too tired to party.  Need a nap now. Someone wake me when the party's over.

See you tomorrow.

Thank you so much for sharing this project. It was such fun to follow and the end result is so beautiful that I'd like to shrink to Tessie's size and snuggle up in there this coming winter! Any chance she'll let me in? The party looks like a succes!!

Elizabeth, just a warning, if this party goes later than ten PM, I am coming in to sneeze on everyone. That should clear the room! LOL

What a wonderful room! Marvelous job on everything as usual. I think Zar is going to spend many enjoyable hours here, unless Tessie figures out how to keep him out:)

It has been great watching the progress of this project from start to finish. I particularly love those book shelves. I look forward to watching your next project. Might have to try one of those in a toy shop I am working on.
