Sore Throat and Upholstery...

I am not running around much today.  I have a sore throat and a runny nose.  I am not sure if it's a cold or allergies....I am hoping for the latter.  I am not feeling like doing anything that I have to think about too much, so...mostly pillows.

I did change the cushion on this chair.  I have decided that it will make a nice desk chair upstairs, with a little adjustment.

I first made it when I was doing the mid century mod furniture a while ago.  If you want to see how I did it, go here and maybe a couple of entries under older posts. http://caseymini.blogspot.com/2010/09/not-bad-for-first-try.html

After I did that, I started making pillows....Bet you can't make just one.

There are several tutorials for pillows elsewhere on the blog.  Put in "pillows" in the search box and see what comes up.
Pillow after pillow....All by hand.  Ten altogether.  One for the chair and nine for the conversation pit....There may be more.

I do believe that I have, sort of, solved the problem.  One pile of pillows at each end of the couch...Two people wanting to use the area.

Right after I took this  photo, bickering broke out.

Tessie turned around and looked at the pillows at the other end and yelled, "Balthazar has more pillows.  I want that end!".  A battle ensued.  I left.

I don't have the energy to referee.  Let the two of them fight it out.  I am off to make a couple or three more pillows.  Lounging on the bed whilst doing it...

See you tomorrow.

Sorry to hear you're not feeling well. Hope you get better soon and that it turns out to be just a turn-of-the-season day. Love the fabric for the pillows. Just a pitty that the Terrible Two should quarrel over them.

Hugs,

V.

Funny you should mention pillows. I have the fabric for several hundred already cut out from a thrift store. Probably for a quilt. I am going to search under pillows while I am saying a silent prayer for your recovery. :-D

Grand mommy, somewhere in the pillows I tell how to make pillows by a strip method on the machine. You sew them all first and then cut them into individual pillows. That is a great method when you have a lot to do. Watch for it.
