101 in the Shade....

What do you do when it's 101 degrees and climbing?

You stay home from Wednesday Witches, stay in the house and play.

April and Amare came over.  Amare is at the parrot stage.  He is 17 months and trying to repeat everything we say.  I must say that he is doing well. 

It makes me tired just to watch him.  He never stops moving and never walks if he can run.

He brought a lot of paraphernalia to keep himself busy....It also kept Tessie and Spike busy.  The truck was too small for Tessie to drive, but you should see Spike sit up and use his front paws to aim the truck.

That's about as close as I got to mini making today. 

This is what the smart squirrels do when it is over 100 degrees.  Not a great photo, but it tells the story. 

They emptied the bowls of peanuts and then found a cool spot on the ground, where I had watered earlier.  They lay as flat as a pancake in the shade and doze off.

That seems like a good plan to me!  I will be back to mini-ing tomorrow.
