More Goodies From Sue...

This morning I went over to my friend Sue's house again.  She is still trying to get rid of mini stuff and asked me to come and pick out some supplies that I would like.  They were free for the taking.

At the same time, I bought a few other things from her.
The first photo, with the exception of the black tray is all of the stuff that I brought home that was free...Problem?

I forgot the stuff that I bought.  I have to go back tomorrow and get that stuff.

This whole sorting process is very confusing...I pulled out the black tray to put things in as I sort through...Second photo is that tray chock full of things and a refrigerator bin with the cigar boxes, some fabric and some plastic window sheets.

There were also a lot of lamps and electrical things, like battery packs and a whole roll of copper tape.  I don't like it for wiring, but I use it for a lot of other things.

That pile looks at least as big as the original pile...Not so.

Here's the rest!  This part was a book, some jewelry findings, fiber optic bundles bunka and
plastic pick up sticks that look like tools.

OK.  That is about twice the size of the pile I brought into the house....It's multiplying...Help!

I can see why Sue wanted it out of her house.  It has a life of it's own!
Of course, Tessie and Zar, loved it all.  They were especially taken with the tools and other things in the pick up stick box.

Zar is already planning another Steampunk rifle and Tessie is planning her spring planting....

Me?  I am going to try to find places for all of the new stuff.

Wasn't I trying to get rid of stuff and organize what I had?

Now I have to go get the rest of the things that I bought and find places for three times as much as I threw in the trash last week....

The best made plans of mice and men...Also women.  You know what I am talking about.

See you tomorrow.

Hi Casey. How exciting to have some
new materials to play with! I know
you will find good uses for them all
eventually. I would like to know what
use you would have for the computer
circuit board. I have a few but
don't know how they could be used
in miniatures.

Phyllisa, I have no idea what I will use it for. That's why Zar has his eye on it. A long time ago Walter and I both worked at a wholesale electronics place. Maybe it sounds weird, but they look like pieces of art to me. I just like them.

Oh, my goodness, what a lot of useful things! I've never seen pick up sticks like that! Have fun with the sorting. That's what I've been doing all day, but papers, not minis! It's more fun to sort minis.

I agree. Those circuit boards always look like art to me, too. My husband is an IT tech in real life so we have lots of old ones but I can't bring myself to throw them away. I'm also quite interested to see what you do with the copper tape other than lighting.

I read somewhere, tho I'm not sure where.. that pieces of a circuit board can be used in mini's .. those little white round things (or whatever color they are) can be used for cups.. or vases.. or any other container, but you can't really contain things in it.. does that make sense? ;)

Looks like a wonderful stash of stuff! Between you, Tessie and Zar, I know you will all be very creative with it.

I love that box of tools ( pick up sticks?) Who is the manufacturer? Where can I find one?

Troy, I am sorry, but I don't know the manufacturer. I found a set years ago at a garage sale and I suspect that Sue also found these at a garage sale or rummage sale. In both cases, they had been stored in a box that wasn't original. They are really nice plastic and look to be pretty early. I am not even sure how you would go about looking them up on the net. Some of them are perfect mini tools. Others, like the wrench are almost full size.

I am going to sort them later today to see just how many tools I have and how many glue applicators. I will let you know what I find.
