About a week ago, I got a new iPad III. I was thrilled. It takes wonderful photos with available light and very clear and sharp.
Next Sunday morning, we leave to fly to Carmel CA for four days. Walter plans to play Pebble Beach. It's a once in a lifetime experience for him.
I am planning to wander around Carmel and take photos of the 1920s Fairy Tale Cottages.
When I got the iPad, I immediately thought that it would be wonderful to have a HD camera in it.
Take photos, upload them and write the blog all on there.....Great idea, but......
I started experimenting this morning and took photos of Tessie and Zar, thinking that I would try to do a blog entry....
So far, I am a complete failure. I don't think that it's all my fault though. I went to the page that I do the blog entries on...So far so good. Then I hit a couple of snags. I don't see any way to get the photos from the iPad to the Internet.
The slots where you usually upload the photos straight from your computer do not compute....In other words, they don't seem to be functional. The buttons are all gray, like they are when something isn't operating.
I did a bit of reading in the in unit instructions....If I am reading it right, I must use a cable and upload the photos to a computer before I can use them. I am going around in circles.
So is Tessie. She is riding her bike around the perimeter of the dining table...
I took some screen shots of the photos that I took with the iPad and from my camera, I loaded them onto the computer....They lose a lot in the translation, so to speak.
Anyway, so far, I am a failure. I am stumped. I am probably going to have to revert to the laptop and my regular camera if I want to blog from Carmel.
If anybody has any suggestions, please give me a shout by my e mail, in the sidebar.
The three of us have given up trying to figure this out. I have housework to do and The Terrible Two have been driven to drink by the problem...Bug Beer, all around!
See you tomorrow.

Reading instructions of any sort is enough to drive anybody to drink or if they don't drink, then hit the junk food stash! I hate reading instructions of any sort. Have you tried calling where you got the IPad? They might be able to help.
You can get an app to upload pictures and post directly to blogger, or sent them by email if you have a webmail, you can find the emailadres in the settingspages. the app is called Blogger
Casey, get an app like blogspot+ . It will give you the option to load your pics as well have other post options right from your iPad. You can also transfer by wifi to your computer with the photo transfer app, or just email the picture to yourself.
You will be happy to know that I am going with the laptop and camera instead. More to carry, but better results in the long run. Thanks to all of you for the input!
Hi, sorry to hear you have given Up on the iPad idea. There is a really good app called blog press which is cheap too £2.99 in the UK. It works really easily and you don't need to upload pictures or store them elsewhere it adds them directly from your iPad. Plus it's really easy to use.
I hope you figure something out, because I would love to see some blog posts about the fairy tale houses. Good luck and have fun!
