Sit Down. Relax! Put Your Feet Up....

We have a finished sofa. Now all we need are some pillows and maybe bolsters to make it more comfy.

I braided trim until I was blue in the face. A sofa takes at least two and a half times as much as a chair. Maybe three.

I won't go through all of the steps for that and making cushions. They are the same as the instructions for the chair, only larger. They have to be made to fit the particular piece that you are working on.

Anyway, Tessie is very pleased. It has been decided that the wall color will definitely be changed. Tessie is leaning towards yellow. I hope she doesn't fall in... I am thinking that I would like it a little darker. Another fight on my hands.

Oh well. At least it will be peaceful around here for the rest of the day. She is busy trying it out.
I think it's working.

On the tangling front, I have finished twenty one of the insets. There are seven across and fourteen down. I have decided to put the alphabet running down both sides and my phone # across the bottom....Not necessarily in the right order.....You see, our phone number is one through seven....Scrambled. No duplicate numbers and no skipped numbers.

By the way, the other day, someone was complaining that they couldn't see the detail in these. This is how you do it...If you don't already know. On any web page, if you want to see it larger than the 150 magnification that you can get on your screen, all you have to do is hold down your control key and then by pushing the + = key as many times as you want, it will enlarge the page. I had one page up to 700% the other day. I don't know how far it goes before the computer starts to steam and then explodes, but it's pretty cool. You can see a gnat's whiskers. You do have to move around the photo with the slides when it gets too big to see the whole thing.

I will warn you though. The tangles in the little boxes only measure 1 3/4" by 2", so don't expect to get them too big before they get a bit fuzzy.

Only 77 more to draw before it's filled. It should be interesting to see if the six year old attention span will hang on that long... Want to bet on it?

I have to go Zentangle some more now.

See you tomorrow.

The sofa turned out great. I love detailed wicker pieces like this. I have a chair and table that I started years ago at our local miniature club. I never found time to finish. You have inspired me to dig it out and have some fun.

Your sofa is so beautiful, Casey. It took my breath away when I looked at all the details. As for that zentangling, I never get tired of looking at all the wonderful assortment of strokes you have in your little squares. And, to think of how small those squares are. It's mind boggling! I just love it. I am going to go and do some now. I'm so glad they have You Tubes on how to do them. It's really what decided me to try them.

Thanks for sharing the "how to make things look really bigger" tip. I didn't know that. Now I really see all of the details! Love it!

That is so PRETTY!!! Can you give me a hint as to where I can find the 20 or 22 gauge covered wire?? I don't live close to a city so I can't just go out and shop. I have the smaller gauge, but the larger is hard to find. I am just dying to see if I can do it!! They look so comfortable, she should have him rub her feet for her!! ((HUGGS))

Jean, I have always purchased it at local stores. You might try on line at some place that carries floral supplies. Michaels or hobby lobby come to mind. Good luck.
