Time Out For Tessie......

This is how Tessie spent the morning... Neither she or Zar will tell me what the argument was about. I sent her to the corner to contemplate what she had done....She sat there whistling show tunes and singing Beatles songs. So much for punishment.

Meanwhile, I went back to work on Zar's project. I think that the curtains for the pavilion have had enough drying time by now...

One at a time, I flipped them over and put glue between the pleats at the bottom, except for the center one that will wrap around the corner posts.

I also painted the framework for the pavilion black. It will look like wrought iron when I am finished.

I finally finished the tower. I glued the stained glass top on and then framed it in with more egg cartons on top of the stones. That makes it look like the glass is set into the stone.

Right now it is egg carton color. I will paint it to blend in after the glue is dry. I wanted you to see how the two blend in if you tear the carton that you are going to lay on top towards the back. I did that and then smeared glue on the back. I smoothed the edges with more glue. When I get them painted, they will look like all one rock. There are no seams if you tear the carton.

Zar seems to not have any damages from yesterday's fight. He heals fast.

I think that Tessie has learned her lesson, even with the show tunes and Beatles songs.

I let her out and she simply glared at me and growled, "That was the most boring two hours I have ever spent in a corner. Next time I want pie and ice cream!"

Sure....Pie and ice cream are a great way to punish someone...

Back to work. I am giving Zar a week to finish this. Then it is on to something else. At least he lends a hand. Unlike Tessie, that sits and watches and offers criticism...

See you tomorrow.

Casey, when I saw Zar had climbed the tower wall, the lights went on in my mind. As a special treat, why don't you take him to one of those rock climbing places? Wouldn't he look sweet though just dangling on the wall tied to one of those big safety lines! LOL! By the way, I love your curtains.

Casey, I have thoroughly enjoyed this project of yours, and am amazed how you managed to squeeze in a "working vacation," as well. Bravo!

Can't wait to see how you do the wrought iron...
Pie and ice cream really sounds good to me right now.

Tessie is so cute. I think she enjoyed studying the tiles or was she trying to punish you with her singing? LOL
