Missing the Curve....

I looked at yesterday's entry and realized that I didn't show you the curves that I did for the stairs. Here you go.

Keep in mind that I can't attach the staircase to the trailer until I get that fixed in place on the base. I can't do that until I go get some lumber to build up the bottom of the base....One thing leads to another...

You will be happy to know that I tackled Tessie and rescued the key before she could flush it. Zar is now wearing it on a chain around his neck.

I don't really think that he will need it. Once Tessie saw what was behind the door, she lost all interest...In fact, she had just one word to describe what she saw, "Boring!". Then she went into a snit and asked, "What's the big deal? My bathroom is much nicer than yours. At least I don't have to leave the house to use the facilities! And I don't have to share mine with spiders and mice that live under the stairs.". Maybe she has a point....

She is now on the other side of the stairs encouraging her tree frog to visit the creatures living under there....

Last night I finished this pendant while watching TV. The center cabochon is a piece of a page, cut out of Veranda magazine and then covered with resin, in the cleaned out shell of a cake of eyeshadow.

This one is all beadwork. No basket coiling. The leaves are glass beads and the odd shaped gold ones at the bottom are freshwater pearls.

I see one little spot on the right side where I need to straighten the beads. Otherwise, I am very pleased with it.

The only problem with doing all of this beadwork is, I am finding out how messy my beading stuff is. I can't find anything.

I pulled out all of my bead boxes and hired Tessie to help me sort it all out....Two cookies and a small glass of cranberry juice was all it took. She is a sucker for the glitz. That will keep her busy for the rest of the day.

Back to bead sorting. See you tomorrow.

Hi Casey. I very much like how the trailer stairs look. The signs on the door are so amusing!

Your newest beaded project is my favorite one so far. Now I want to make one. But first I have to organize my beads. I'm looking at what you have done for ideas. My
Craft Room is almost as full as yours and I'm working on better organization. I would have more shelves for supplies if some of my people didn't need living arrangements on them. I need to finish some houses!

Isn't this a wonderful hobby? It gives us an opportunity to make beautiful diverse things to enjoy,
people that are always available to talk to and that we can plan lives for, and something to direct our minds to keep from going crazy in this crazy world! But the most important aspect is the wonderful REAL people it puts us in touch with.

I really like all the jewelry pieces that you have been doing, my favorite is the mother-of-pearl one. I just bought some pretty polished stones that I would like to use for something like what you have done. Thanks for sharing all of your great ideas. I'm working on getting more organized also.
