Last night Walter put a free trial month of Netflix on my new iPad....That was a big mistake on his part. I have visions of sitting and watching movies, whilst eating bonbons....The big mistake on my part was starting to do some deep cleaning in the kitchen this morning.
I did turn on the iPad and did "watch" two movies. I really mostly listened to them and just kept cleaning like a fool.
I even took all of the plants from their places on the window sill and scrubbed that! I have come to the conclusion that Walter knew what he was doing. I dug out cupboards that hadn't been taken apart for quite some time. Two movies and about three hours later, I came to my senses.
I do have one Christmas cactus that is blooming....OK, so I cheated and bought it a couple of weeks ago.
The hummingbirds have been coming in regularly to the feeder all morning and one even waited by the window to watch me inside refilling it. They are very tame and watch me through the window regularly, but as soon as I get the camera they leave. Camera shy?
Now ask me what I did with the rest of the day... I watched three episodes of the first season of Dexter and knitted.
I am anxious to see what these are going to turn out like.
The first pair are all black and white and from one ball....They don't match! Not even close! It seems that this is the latest thing in hand knit socks. I think that they are kind of weird, but April picked this yarn out when we were looking at different colors. If I get them finished, she will get an extra pair for Christmas.
The other pair that I am working on are for me. Yup, the same thing is happening. In fact, I took out quite a bit of yarn between the toe of the first sock and the top of the second one. I am still not sure about wearing mismatched socks and the stuff that I took out looked like totally different yarn.
Oh well. If I don't like them, I know someone that will. At least I get the fun part. I love knitting them. Even when they go to live somewhere else.
Those are my excuses for not mini-ing today. I will try to do better tomorrow. See you then.

Love the socks Casey. My Boys are always wearing odd socks..!
This iPod idea of Walters could catch on - I'm sure if I showed this post to my hubby, and then reminded him how long it is since I cleaned the oven I'd have one in my Christmas sotcking ;) Would it be too obvious do you think to print your post out and just happen to leave it in his lunch box?
Wow! Even when you aren't doing minis you're incredibly productive!! I'm a little hooked on Netflix these days, but not as productive. I'm totally lovin' the socks. I wish I could knit! It seems like a great hobby to snuggle in with while watching a good movie.
Hugs,
Jill
Oops! I keep calling my new machine an iPod..It's an iPad. The iPad is larger and a lot more fun to watch. Walter got an iPod. His is tiny. I can hardly see the screen on the iPod. We found out that once we are subscribed to Netflix, we can get it on all of your computers and pads and pods. Very cool! I am in so much trouble!

Ha I do recognice something there, when I have to do the housecleaning job, wich I hate, I take my Ipad and put on the music, very loud. The Ipad is for me the gadget of the century, love it!
