The Search Continues......

The head cold continues and I feel slightly deranged..... I don't feel well enough to do anything that is like real work....Standing, deep knee bends and push ups are out of the question.(The last two are usually out of the question anyway.)

I had a lot of the mini clothes stuff out anyway, so I decided to continue with that, since I could do it mostly sitting down and not moving.

I thought about starting with some hangers for the closet. Then I found these, so I don't really need more. The covered ones are made with bent wire and covered with lace . The pink and red ones are simply made with paper clips.

Tessie started in on me as soon as I got my working nest in order. "I don't like the new dress and apron. The dress is scratchy and stiff and the apron is too fancy." She whinged until I got tired of listening.....Revenge is sweet.....

I wouldn't let her look until the new one was finished. I whipped it out in no time from another handkerchief and a small piece of silk. I had the TV tuned to "Angels and Demons" with Tom Hanks.....Any resemblance to the book, living or dead, is purely coincidental....Thank goodness I wasn't watching it for entertainment purposes...

Anyway, when I finished and handed Tessie the mirror, she shrieked, "I look like Marie Antoinette's ugly step sister!!! What did you do to me? Arggggg!!!!".

It was worth the time and trouble, just to see her reaction.

"I don't even look like a witch anymore. This is just cruel!!!"

"OK, Tessie. Can't you take a joke?" I asked.

"NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Get me out of this. I demand witchy clothes. NOW!"

Sometimes she is just no fun at all. I got out the seriously witchy material and let her pick some.

She demanded a simple dress and apron and watched me like a hawk while I sewed every stitch.

When I finished, she put the dress and apron on and demanded, "Fix my hair!"

It was getting rather threadbare in places, so I reworked the front. It doesn't look much different. It is fluffier and fuller than it was. The main thing is she is happy now.

For the rest of the day I can go do something else now....Laundry...Ick...Vaccuuming.....Ick
Dishes....Ick....

Maybe I will keep the cold for one more day.....

See you tomorrow.

I think Tessie owes you a day to rest and recover, she could maybe make you a pot of soup.

Hope you feel better soon.

Regarding Jean's suggestion, I think I'd be a little hesitant in accepting Tessie's soup offerings. (Whisper: You know the sort of things that go in witch's cauldrons. If she does offer make some polite excuse, wouldn't want to get on the wrong side with her.)

Never, ever do I eat anything that Tessie offers. She is a terrible cook.....Everything tastes of spiderwort. She uses it in everything....Not a good thing.

I don't know... that first "new dress" would have been great camouflage if Tessie ever felt like zapping herself to a Rendezvous with us. ;-)

Tessie makes me laugh with her comments. She is hard to please. I love her dresses.
I hope you'll get better soon.

Tessie's new witchy dress is perfect for her. The other one would be nice for a tea party though. How's business going at Tessie's Teas?

Kathi, as usual, Tessie has all but forgotten the tea shop in favor of new directions.....
