Fully Recovered.......

Tessie is all better.....And totally unmanageable. I caught her trying to teach Iggy Pop to fly this morning. I tried to explain that iguanas don't fly like dragons do. So she settled for riding him at full speed all over the house. They stopped long enough for me to get a photo of them with Theo. Then they were off again. I finally told her that if she kept it up she was going to damage her new nose.

That kept her quiet for a while. She sat in the Non People, Non Witch, sized chair, watching Buffy for a while. She doesn't understand why I own a chair that fits neither big or mini people. She says it's just plain ODD.

I have been working on the first class that I am going to teach at the museum this morning. It is a class for people that have never done any minis at all and want to know how to get started. I think it is going to be fun, because newbies are usually eager to learn and amazed at everything small.

I will be showing them the basic tools that they need to get started, then go on to the ones that are semi essential and then to the ones that you don't necessarily need, but everyone wants to own. I will also teach them to make a couple of small things to get them hooked, so to speak.

Tessie decided that she could make better choices than I could from a mini point of view.

She started out by pointing out the books that I should look at and then went on to witching books out of the shelves and onto the bed so that she could look at them.

When she finished, the shelf of books that she is sitting on was empty. Guess who had to put them all away later?

To keep her quiet, I gave her a pencil and let her come up with a list and a couple of sketches of what she thought I should teach. Actually, her suggestions weren't half bad.
She came up with a drawing of a mini shelf.....It looks suspiciously like a couple of shelves that I made years ago, that hang on the wall of one of the kitchens that I did.

I think that may be a good idea. It is simple. A good first time project and it will be quick. Then if I come up with a couple of small items to put on it, it could be a good first time, hooking, project.

Maybe I should give her the note pad and a pencil and let her plan all of the classes. That would save me a lot of work.

Unfortunately, her attention span is shorter than mine. Mine is the six year old version. Hers is more like a three year old. I don't think that her interest is going to be held for much longer. I can see her from here and she is eyeing Iggy again.......So much for the new nose.

See you tomorrow.

Are you going to have to lock Tessie up in the glass box while you teach the class? ;-)

Oooh, I hope the first class goes well, with or without Tessie, though I'm sure she'd provide plenty of distraction for your new pupils.
