I just had the worst sale at a craft show that I have ever had. Everybody loved the stuff. Hardly anyone was buying. It wasn't just from me, but from all of the tables. They say that the economy is bad. Now I believe them!
For the past few days I have been tearing my hair trying to get everything ready.......Now for the next week, at least, I am going to be trying to get everything back where it belongs. It just wasn't worth the time and trouble. Luckily I know that it wasn't the merchandise. It sells in other venues. It was kind of disappointing though.
This is what I am looking at in just one side of my family room. The only thing on this table that pertains to the mini shop that I am working on is the mini shop that I am working on!The rest of the stuff on the table and the rest of the room(You don't want to see the kitchen counter behind me.) is stuff from getting ready for the show. GRRRRRR. Yup! That's the sound of me growling.
It is sooo bad that it spilled over into the bedroom yesterday. All of my bead and finding boxes are messed up now too.
Can you tell that I'm not in a very good mood? I'm not. "Don't let the turkeys get you down." is my motto this week. I will keep repeating that as I clean up the mess.
I am going to take it easy for the rest of the day and do some laundry out of necessity. At least I will have clean clothes and will have accomplished something.
I promised to get back to work on the basket shop today. I keep my promises.......It was just a little promise, so I did just a little work. Yes, that is a full box of chicken broth. It is heavy and it is square. What more could you ask for to weight a floor? The Future floor wax bottle was handy because it is what I use as a finish on the polymer clay beads. It was on the table in the mess. The full package of DAS in the background weighs 2.2 # and is also square. And The Fast Grab glue was what I stuck said floor down with. Hey! It was just there handy and I didn't want to get up.
Also notice that I filled in under the floor with a board. Tomorrow I will be doing the stones across that part. That is if I can wade through all of the other junk to get to the house again.......Tune in and see if I can find a string to tie to my ankle. I usually only have to do that in my workroom...........Please don't even ask about the workroom. Please......
See you tomorrow.
