That is, I ran out of the package that I used to start the basket shop. It went a pretty long way. I did all of the outside walls, the base and got a start on the inside walls.
The gray part in the corner and the same part on the other side of the bay and the ceiling of the front door eaves are what ran me out of DAS. Oh and I did the bricks along the bottom edge of the opening too.
I need to break out a whole new package of DAS. I think that I will wait until tomorrow for that. I am trying to do real life cleaning with one hand while doing this with the other. I don't think it is working. Darn! I am going to have to opt for the real life part.
I did get some of the roof trim, up under the eaves done on one end. I still haven't decided what to do with the roof peaks. Still stalling.
I painted the underside of the roof edge with Ceramcoat Mudstone. I love the name. It is a really nice color to boot. Then I used Williamsburg blue on the trim...It almost looks like the roof in the photo. It is totally different.
I put up some strips of wood blind on the front edge of the roof line. It is temporary to see if I like it and it looks crooked in the photo. I will straighten it if I use it. I think that I am going to do a bit of distressing on the blue part. It looks too bright and new, even though I did more of a wash than painting it.
Here's an end view. I think that the bump out needs something on it. The question is "What?". It is just too plain right now.
The morning light coming in the window fades the color on the walls terribly. It is quite a bit darker and kind of a dusty peach color in the real world.
Anyway, I think it is time to quit for today. I feel like I did get something done, but I am tired of stepping over things and around other things to get from point A to point B in this house. I feel the need to clean up. Notice that I didn't say that I have the urge.....I wonder if the work fairies would come and do it for me if I go take a nap.......? Oh well. It was a good daydream. Not realistic, but good. Back to work for me. See you tomorrow.
