Today I finished putting in the windows. That is except for the round ones under the eaves....I don't remember where I put those. Me thinks that the workroom is a pit once again, even if I do have a clean floor.
Next I went up to the attic. Don't ask how. Only a few people know the secret of how to get there. When I got up there this is what I found. The resident gypsy from the Witches' Warehouse is one of the few that knows the secret. She decided to make herself comfortable and temporarily set up her fortune telling business there. She did the same thing when I finished the Witches' Warehouse. She is both sneaky and methodical. In this shot you can see the unfinished round windows. I'll get there! And please don't mention the shingles outside. The gypsy is already mouthing off about the drafts!
I also added a lot of stuff to all three floors. The posters from yesterday didn't get framed. I decided that they wouldn't be framed in a real store. It seems like they are always putting up new ones.
A big old tree grew outside the front door overnight. It's not staying there. I took one photo of the entrance and when I looked at it, there was a big red blob outside the door. The mat that sits under the monster cactus in the center of the table was all scrunched up in a ball and looked like a pile of something vile. I grabbed the latest Veranda magazine and turned to the outdoor section. There are usually a few nice garden scenes to use at the back of room boxes in there when you need them. Instant tree.
I still have to make that valence that I promised a month ago....I still need to do some molding around the ceiling. Just a few more little touches on the first floor and I will be done. The door is actually glued in now.
Up to the second floor, I got the windows in, but they aren't quite dry, thus the blue tape. Again, I still need ceiling molding and a couple of pieces of floor molding here. I want to put some kind of railing next to the stairs so that people won't have any accidents. I decided that there were too many tables, so I switched out the sale table for a counter. I still need to make some sale signs for that and some pillows for the window seat.

She insisted on a close up. She is very proud of the fact that she is the only person that I have ever made with individual teeth that show. She also wants publicity for her fortune telling. The more photos, the more customers is her reasoning. We are going to have to have a talk about this..........She already has a few gold coins in her palm.....I hope that those were from the Warehouse. The bookshop is not open yet. It will be soon.
See you tomorrow. I have to go chat with a gypsy.
