I volunteered to have Wednesday Witches, since one of the other witches couldn't have it...
So... It was a morning off, cleaning up and cooking.
I made a Chicken and Pasta Caesar Salad and a two ingredient pineapple cake. I found both recipes on the net... I will give you the recipe for the cake... I am not sure who the original recipe was from, so I can't give credit where credit is due.
The recipe is simple. One Angel Food cake mix and a 20 oz. can of crushed pineapple in heavy syrup. You mix the two ingredients together. Spray a 9 by 13 pan with cooking spray and put the mixture in it. Cook for 35 minutes in a 350 degree oven. That's it. Then put some whipped cream on top of each serving. Good Stuff!
Anyway, it turned out that there were only four of us and we had a great time eating and talking and eating some more.
I showed you my ribbon box. Someone remarked on what a collection of ribbon I have... It took me over 30 years to collect it all and I am not good when it comes to sharing my ribbon and bunka. They are both too hard to come by.
I do have to share with you my find at Goodwill yesterday.
I found this cigar box for $1.60. I bought it to store bead tubes in... Take a look in the corner of the lid. I paid less than a fifth of what one of the cigars would have cost!
I could sure buy a lot of beads for what the cigars in that box would cost! Yup. I am sticking with beads. No cigars! Not at those prices!
While I was entertaining the witches, Tessie was locked in the work room. Big mistake!!!
She is making piles of stuff again. This time for the townhouse...She has piles here and there all over the room now.
She is way ahead of me in this remodeling race.
The castle is just getting started... She is half done... At least as far as tearing things out.
She is also way ahead in making more work for me. I am going to have to straighten the workroom, once again.
I do believe that I am going around in circles and Tessie is winning the race!
See you tomorrow.

Hello Casey,
Playing hostess, cleaning...cooking...what exactly is your definition of "taking a day off"?
Great find by the way.
Big hug

Just hooky from mini work, Giac.
Hi Casey! I think that I am going to have to give the pineapple cake recipe a tryout! Sounds delicious!
Elizabeth, if you try it, be sure to get the crushed pineapple with heavy syrup! I don't think that it would work with the plain fruit juice.
