Well maybe it does... I started dry fitting this morning.
I got this far and then decided to try one of my favorite tricks. I was going to turn it inside out.
When you do that, it becomes a mirror image.
I didn't like it, so I went back to the original layout.
The only trouble is, I wanted something to make it look different and that is very difficult to do on a kit this small and ornate...
I did decide that, if it was going to be a store, it should be more open...
So... I started drawing lines to indicate an opening under the stairs.
I dislike doorways at the front edge of walls. They just don't look right to me.
Nobody puts a door that close to the wall! Worthless!
About the time I did this, The Terrible Two plus One showed up. Just what I need. More wacky opinions of what I should be doing.
Spike wanted a private room under the stairs.
Tessie said she didn't need stairs. I told her that the customers might just want to get to the second floor... She corrected me. "I am sure that you mean the mezzanine." I then made the mistake of trying to call it a loft... That was not lofty enough for her taste. So we have a mezzanine... You see, she wants to put a smaller loft a few steps higher towards the back side of the building... As usual.. The more work for me, the better...
That was when Zar pretended to start beating his head against the back wall... Actually, I think that he was just trying to escape the madness that is Tessie.
I am going to join him. She is driving me crazy already... And I haven't even started gluing the kit together yet!
Back to work.
See you tomorrow.
