One Basket, Two Squirrels...

I had a short session of chemo this morning.  I will get the rest next Friday.  So, I didn't get as much basket done as I thought I would...

This is what I took.
This is what I brought home.  This is going to be a full sized basket.  I am doing it over jute, with six strand embroidery floss.

This part is about three inches across.

This is the inside, so the stitches aren't all that wonderful.

Once I get it finished, it won't matter.  No one will see the inside. The important part is it's fun to do.

When we got home, I started looking for something to make kitchen shelves from... I found an intriguing piece of wood... It was all marked out and ready to cut.

So I cut it... As soon as I did, Tessie jumped on the pieces and so did Spike.  I think that she pays him to back her up.  He likes cookies almost as much as she does.

I am going to try to figure out what it was supposed to be, long ago, when I marked it.

If I can't figure it out, it makes no difference.  A lot of it is cut into kitchen shelf sized pieces.  They will just get used for that. The rest will  be used for the outside of the appliances.

Squirrel news.  We have been on squirrel watch for the past few days.

We think that something either scared the family away or worse, ate them.

As far as we can figure, there are only a couple left.  They have been stocking up for winter carrying peanuts away in their cheeks.

We are still hoping to see a few more, but so far we have only seen two at one time. Fingers crossed for the squirrels.  I would really miss them if they were no more.

Back to the grindstone.

See you tomorrow.

Hope all went well with your treatment, Casey! I will be sending you a beautiful video of something very special that I just know you will love. Take care. Hope your little squirrels are okay. They are so cute. Give Spike an extra cookie for me.
