Bargains, Experiments and Anti-Labor...

OK.  The bargains were this assortment of baskets, and other goodies.  I went to Goodwill yesterday.  I didn't know that they were having one of their half price sales.  I got this whole assortment of baskets.  There were two wrought iron candlesticks that will serve as plant holders on the wall of the patio.

Tessie has already claimed most of them.

The plate is, to quote the information on the back, 100% hand made from Rhodes, Greece.  It is glazed Terra Cotta. The photo doesn't do it justice.  I got it for 50 cents!  I also got a decorator book.  All of these goodies were under $10.00!
Now.  About that experiment with the leather tools.  It was successful!  If I had not put rub and buff type cream on it... It would not look like all of the places I indented are raised.  My brain was working in reverse this morning...

Just to prove it, my brain doesn't want to go in the workroom today!  No way!  No how!

I am going to ignore the mess that is in there and find something fun to do instead.  I refuse to clean... Sunday is the day of rest.  Right?

Back to doing anything but cleaning! See you tomorrow.

That's a great idea you have there with using leather embossing tools on cardboard. Tin ceiling s is what I envision.

Good idea Lynnet. I am also experimenting with fake woodcarving. I need a couple more tools for that. Not bad so far though.
