The bed/couch is under way...
I first cut pieces from ceiling tile and then cut the same shapes from illustration board... Then I cut them again, from fluffy stuff... Otherwise known as quilt batting...
Then I cut fabric to cover that was larger.
I ran a single layer of batting around the edges of the ceiling tile and covered that with strips of fabric glued to the bottom and top. Not to the batting itself.
Then I covered the illustration board with batting and that with a wrap of the fabric.
Tessie decided that she wanted to keep with the forest colors... Brown... Maybe I can talk her into lightening it with colorful pillows.
I put a wedge of wood at the back edge of the long side and covered the triangle in front the same way... I don't think that I like it. It may get a cushion like the rest of the couch.
Anyway, that's about it for this morning. It's time to get the chicken out of the oven, so no more minis for a while... I'm hungry.
See you tomorrow, with more pillows to make this a couch.

Wow, Casey, you certainly got a lot done. I love the couch and I love the brown Tessie picked for it. You're right, with colourful cushions, it will be perfect!
Hi Casey, loving the couch so far. Maybe the wood spots could be a shelf for an alarm clock or drinks? You'll just have to ask the owner of this place :) Hugs, Sarah
That's what I had in mind, Sarah. They aren't really at a convenient height or in the right place, now that I have them in place. Back to the drawing board.
Hello Casey,
Great job! I love the fabric you chose.
Big hug,
Giac
