Pouting is an Option!

Did you ever have one of those days?  This is one...

I started fitting the bookcases in the library...

With the new fireplace, none of the pieces work... Stupid fireplace!

I think that I can make it work, but I am pretty much starting from scratch.  I am going to have to do it one piece at a time, fitting it around the fireplace.

And to make matters worse, I think that the book shelf on the far wall is going to have to swing around and go on the other wall.  If I put it on the wall with the window, it can't be seen from outside.  No way. No how.

So I am back to square one...
All of the pretty marks on the wood are going to disappear and we are going to turn the board over and start again...
And the worst part is... I am going to tear out the gold and start again on the rug.  I put one patch in place this morning... It was still dark outside and it looked OK.

Now it is fading into the  fabric.  I can hardly see it. Bottom left corner...

OK... I am done complaining.  I am going to go grab my favorite pencil and notebook and start over. Stiff upper lip and all that. That's another one of those sayings that I have no idea of the meaning, but it sounds good... So I will keep a stiff upper lip and get back to work.

See you tomorrow.

Taking out embroidery is a pain in the rear end, isn't it? Ugh. But I'm keeping my fingers crossed that when you redo it, it will be soooo awesome it'll feel like it was worth it.

That's what happened with one of my beady pieces. I was halfway done, and I had to admit... the collar was terrible. It looked like boobs wearing a striped bikini! So I took it out and used a totally different pattern and colors. It's now my favorite piece, and it does not resemble bikini cleavage at all. Thanks goodness.

Otherwise... pouting with chocolate helps. I think it's a stiff upper lip because there's a spoon of double chocolate ice cream in there.

It is so good to see, that every time you stumble upon a problem ( or two) you make sme noise... after that you rethink your plan... and after a few days there is a solution. Keep up the stiff upperlip and the good work ;-)
