And Everybody's Happy...

Tessie sat out to prove that the new wicker chair didn't belong in Daisy's cottage... I had already decided, but it was fun to make her squirm a bit...

Forgetting that she could zap, she dragged the skull chair into the living room and plonked it down in the position we had planned.

She then plopped herself into the chair and went to work on convincing me...

"You know that this chair won't fit in here.  I have it propped against the wall.  When we hang it, it will have to be another foot away from the wall."  Yes.  She said foot.  That's how she thinks and besides if she talks in "real" terms, it makes everything sound bigger than it really is.

This time she is right, but I was having fun... I told her, "But Tessie, if we put this in the townhouse, it will take up the same amount of space there."

Rebuttal?  "Yes, but it's a Skull!!!  I want it!!!  I pretended to think about it and then I let her off the hook.  "OK... If you really think it will work... Are you sure?"

She jumped out of the chair and without even a small "Thank you", she was gone.  Chair and all.  I can hear far off hammering coming from the townhouse... I dasn't go see what is happening... Too scary...
I went back to work and finished the last few rows of the center of the H of M rug.  It looks like it is almost finished.  Wrong. That border is nine stitches wide and I still have a lot to go on it.
I did put a few more stitches in each of these rugs.  I finished the checker board in the bottom of one and did some more background on the rug for the craft cottage.

I am in the mood for stitching right now.  Maybe I will at least get Daisy's bedroom rug finished.

I might even get a little more done on the other two.  I want to get the one for the craft cottage done.  Them I will be able to pronounce that project finished.

I am not even sure why I started the middle one.

I think that it was just an experiment with using stitches, other than cross stitch on a rug.  Therefore, it doesn't have to be done in this century... Maybe the next one?  We shall see...

See you tomorrow.

Thanks Karen! I have been working at rugs for at least 30 years now. One if my favorite things to do in miniature. If you do cross stitch, there are some patterns under "rugs" in the sidebar.

Hey Casey. This is a late comment but I'm catching up on the last few posts. I just read about ur rugs n you didn't remember y you did the middle one.... that was a zentangle rug if i remember correctly. To see what it'd look like in cross stitch off i remember right. Cuz i read that a long time ago n actually started a random tangle one of my own. Unfinished of course, but was fun n still is every once in a while. Anyways just thought I'd add my two cents even tho late. Lol
Off to read the rest now.
