This is called a Cellini Spiral. It is really a circular peyote stitch bracelet, but done with several different sizes of beads. It goes half way around my wrist so far and the photo doesn't do it justice. It is much brighter and sparkly than the photo shows.
I can only do it a couple of hours before I start going cross eyed. This took me two sessions.
Now, about starting over. I chose one of the fabrics that I purchased yesterday to do the living room curtains.
The swirls are gray, but once in the room, they have a bluish cast and look good with the walls.
I got as far as the pinning and the spraying. Then Tessie entered the picture. She took one look and hissed..."That is not an apron!".
I just answered, "You're right, Tessie.", and kept pinning...
She stomped around the curtains and stepped on them a couple of times. Then she looked me straight in the eye and growled at me..."I want MY apron! And I want it now!".
I have learned over the years that it is best to just ignore her... Eventually she gives up and goes away...
She repeated the request three times and then started pulling the pins out of the curtains...
I hate to get graphic, but I grabbed her by the scruff of the neck and stuffed her in the fabric closet. I told her, "Make your own apron!".
Someone please remind me next time that she doesn't need the door cracked to breath...
I have to run now... Literally!

I've been following your blog for about a month now, and I had no idea you were a beader! This makes me so very happy.
I tried Cellini spiral once, and then I decided to go right back to bead embroidery. But yours looks beautiful!
Tessie is fierce when she's mad! My advice is to always have something on hand to distract her -- like a box of mini chocolates. It's for this very reason I bought handsome boy dolls for my Barbies...
