There's an Elephant in My Bathtub!

First of all, Tessie, it's not your bathtub.

Second of all... It seems to me that Edgar deserves a turn.  After all, he did all of the work, so that you could have a 24 hour bath!

The poor baby should get to relax for a while!

Tessie finally gave up and went away.  It's pretty hard to lift an elephant out of the tub.... Even if he is a baby.
I think that the 24 hour bath was a mistake.  I should have gotten her out earlier.

Yes.  It was peaceful and quiet whilst she was in there, but now that she's out, she is energized!  Like the bunny...

She has been running around like a madwoman checking on my progress.

She found this tile sheet and is trying to talk me into incorporating it into the kitchen.

I, on the other hand, think it is going just one step too far.

Now she is bugging me to get the stove area finished so that she can try out the glass top...

I did get the layout for the niches finished.  It took three tries to find one that I liked.

I realized that the wall needed a larger area over the cooktop.

Tessie insisted on going into appliance model mode.  I think that I am going to be installing a lot of glass cook tops.  She hates cleaning burners.

I am going to have to do some painting on the rest of the kitchen, build real cabinets and generally do everything  but the floor over... Here we go again...

OK.  I just shoved Tessie into the other room.  I made her go see to her lavender apron.

When she got out of the tub, she announced that the apron would have to be starched and ironed before she could possibly wear it again.  The shoulder ruffles were drooping.

Don't look at me!  I am not ironing a teeny tiny apron just so you can take another bathe in it.

I made her go put on another apron as soon as she got out of the tub and was somewhat dry...

Now you can see what all of the holes are going to look like.  It might just work.

I think that I have figured out how to make the cook top look like my real one... If not, Daisy and/or Tessie is going to have to cook on regular burners...

Back to putting my foot down with Tessie.  She wandered away mumbling something about the lack of a refrigerator in the kitchen... Daisy is going to have to do with an under counter model.  After all, she probably will not be here all of the time.  That's what I forgot...I wonder if she needs a place to land a time machine?

See you tomorrow.

Hi Casey,
I love the niches, they are going to look marvellous. Between Tessie and Daisy, you just don't have a minute :)
All the best

Hi Casey
I love the baby elephant! It reminds me of a toy elephant I have from when I was young boy. So cute! Your kitchen ideas are really coming along now and I really like how you have arrived at this design from the inspiration picture you showed the other day. There are so many opportunities to stash lots of kitchen things.
Looking forward to the next update.

I like your layout for the niches. It will look so interesting when you put little knick knacks behind. I look forward to seeing how you get the stove top done. Looks like you'll have your hands full getting the elephant out of the tub. You should ask Tessie to zap him! So much easier than for you to do all that straining!

I think that if you leave a baby elephant in bath water for 24 hours, they will get very wrinkled skin. At least that is what I've "herd".
I like Tessie's new apron, the color suits her.
Your kitchen ideas are really developing well, but what do you put in the round hole? That shape is very intriguing.

Elizabeth! Don't make waves!

That's an old apron. I haven't made any new ones in more than a year. If Tessie hears you, I will have to drop everything and make more.

I just went and counted... She has 19 aprons. If she reads your comment she will suddenly be apron poor! Shhhh!

Hello Casey,
Will I get in trouble if I bug you to finish the stove area. It is wonderful and I can't wait to see it done.
Big hug,
Giac
