Holes.....

Slowly, but surely, I am getting the niches finished.

I cut three of the same thing from foam core.  Then I used the trusty cat food dividers to line each hole.  I still have to go back and add a bottom to each one with wood.

I don't know how much I will finish today.  I have a dentist appointment this morning.  Ick.
The next step was to gesso the whole thing.  I have to do that before I do the wood bottoms.

I did all of this whilst watching a couple of those rehab house shows... "Love it or List it"... I am starting to notice a pattern in those.  Every one of them follows a formula.  Fix a row house with not enough money.  Find the same extra things wrong with said house.  Try to sell the owners another house exactly like their house, except it has already been rehabbed.  Then stand back and watch while the owners go crazy, trying to decide what to do...

I'm going back to Korean Dramas.  At least they tell a story that is interesting and different each time... And they don't try to fix the same house over and over...
Here's what the niches look like, so far... I am still debating on the color inside the niches.  The rest of the room is now going to be white.  I will either leave the holes green or paint them midnight blue, like the living room walls.

Thank goodness the glass cook top isn't working yet...We would be having barbecued Spike for dinner, if it were.

This is going to be a short one.  I have to get ready to leave.

See you tomorrow.

He Casey. The shelves look so great in position - you really get an idea of the scale. The cooker will look great once fitted up (lucky Spike!).
I can't wait to see what you achieve tomorrow - don't over do it!
hugs

you're right about love it or list it, I watch it because I can't fanthom how a row house can cost upwards of half a million dollars or more... do you know what you can get here for for that kind of money!?!?

you'd be in Lebron James neighborhood *well close to it at least*

Hugs
Marisa
