First of all, this is the flower stalk from one of my succulents. I threw some green paint on the stem. Missed a few spots, but over all, I am satisfied with it. I will have to add leaves, but if sprayed with fixative, I think that it will work for minis.
I scotch taped the outer screen pattern in place. It fits.
I cut the two pieces of ceiling tile that I need for the divan. Those fit...
Tessie informed me that she allows Mic on the divan...Mic sits anywhere he wants. No arguments.
She also is standing over me with a whip and a chair, in order to get the divan finished so that she can take a nap on it.
Here's the first step.
I am wrapping the front of a half inch strip of card stock with batting and then fabric.
these will go over the sides to make the mattresses.
Here's the bottom strip, in place. I am thinking that I will tuft the top of the mattress. That will mean cutting another piece of card stock to fit the top and covering it with batting and a larger piece of fabric that will wrap around the sides.
As you can see, certain people(and animals) are anxious for the North African room to be livable...
I didn't have the heart to tell them it was mother's day. So....I will be tufting as soon as I am done here.
I'm done now. Back to the mattress. Happy Mother's Day to you all.
See you tomorrow.
