A Little More Subdued in Mini...

The kitchen that Daisy sent yesterday, was a bit harsh, color wise.  I like green, but when doing mini decorating less is more in color.

The one yesterday was close to the lime green on the right.  I still wanted green, but more subdued.

So I went to work and mixed up these three colors.  When it looked right, I stopped.  Don't ask me proportions... I don't measure.  I just keep mixing until I like it.  I think that there is more of the Victorian Teal and the Sea foam than there is of the lime green.  That is really strong.
Anyway, this is the color that I settled on.  This is just the first coat.  I am not worried about the baseboards and floor lines.  The ones in the cove and the place where Tessie is standing, will be covered.

The Terrible Two convinced me that this will no longer be an "eat in" kitchen.

There is plenty of room in the living room for a floor table and cushions.

I told you I was going all the way with this.
I mocked up a couple of counters to see how much space would be lost.  It's not bad and it had to be done.

Tessie and Zar are telling me that there is a need for shelf space on this side of the door into the living room.... Also maybe some small shelves in the front left corner, behind the rocks.

Anyway, we are well on our way now.  No more directional changes.

Back to work.  Lots to do.

See you tomorrow.

Hi Casey. I like the color you mixed for the kitchen walls. When you said yesterday that you "Got
rid of the wallpaper", do you mean you painted over it with gesso or
did you remove it?

Phyllisa, I painted over it. The paper was put on with Yes and would have bee hard to remove. This not going to come off any time soon. If it had started bubbling, I would have taken it off.
