Give Me the Pencil!!!

I started doing some sketches of how I want things to look last night...

First a triangular table for the kitchen.  The size will be the size of the triangle behind Spike...  It will have a carved corner base.  Not necessarily the exact same one that you see on the page.

I think I am on to something.  Two people can sit there, but they can still see each other and see out the window.

Now all I have to do is figure out where to put an icebox, stove and sink... Still thinking...
Next, I went for the front door.  It will be a plank and bar type but a bit fancier.  It will have wrought iron hinges and face plate for the handle.

The stonework around the edge is a speculation, but you know that I like a little stonework on cottages.

Daisy specified that she wanted a small window so that she could see the person outside.

Tessie immediately made the connection... "Hey!  Daisy must be about the same height as me.  Actually, when Tessie stood next to the door at the right level, she was right.  Oh No!  Two Tessies???

Then I made a BIG mistake....I left the pencil laying on the table, when I went to get more coffee.

I got sidetracked and did a bit of wandering around.

When I returned, Tessie was sitting on the miter box with the green pencil in hand and a smug self-satisfied look on her face.

I had started a drawing of the outside of the kitchen bump out.  She was finishing it the way she thought it should look....

Stone work all around and a crenelated top....

We had a tug of war for the pencil.  I won.  I X-ed out the  top portion and told her, "One or the other.  Not both!"

This argument could go on for the rest of the day....I will leave you now.   I have to go hide every pencil in the house.  This could take a while...

See you tomorrow.

Triangle table - very clever for a small space as long as there is space for two plates. I love the sound of the door and look forward to seeing the finished version.

I was going to say that I liked Tessies drawing but I think I'd better stay out of this

12, there should be plenty of room the table will be 3 3/4 on each if the short sides.

Marisa, it may be growing on me, with a few adjustments...

Hello Casey,
The drawings are great. I agree with you, but in Tessie's defense it is so hard to cut back on beautiful things.
Big hug,
Giac

That door looks great! I like your plans!

I like to think of Daisy as being somewhat of an architectural salvage expert (with her planned tower) and that she well may like the additional crenelation on top because she saved it from a crumbling castle elsewhere.....just like I would hehehehehe.
