Two Weeks To Go....

Or should I say, "Two weeks to put up with this."?

I finished the tree this morning, with a little bit of help from my friends...

It looks pretty normal from far, far away... Then you step a little closer and....

You notice that there is a room for parking your broom...Yes... Tessie must be in the house.  She came in on her pogo stick....

She explained to me, "It is much easier to get where you want on the tree when you can just bounce from one branch to the next."

I didn't ask why she didn't just fly in.  She doesn't often use a broom...It's usually the dragon and that could be a fire hazard... Pogo stick it is.

I see that Zofi and Tessie's two sisters arrived and took up their usual place in the darkest spot on the tree. They have settled in and will just sit and eat, drink and gossip about the rest of the gang.

Some of the guests haven't arrived yet...Could it be because Tessie didn't tell them that the party was starting two weeks early this year.

I am sure that they will know as soon as the fun starts.

One of Santa's elf girls is going to be guarding the presents for the next two weeks...Not an easy job with Tessie and Spike around.  Zar is a gentleman and wouldn't dream of tearing the paper off early, but the other two will try and try again to sneak a peek.  Maybe it would be wise to give her a large weapon to fend them off.

I see that the penguins made it.  The seem to know when there are cold drinks....and hot food.  They are especially partial to pizza.  They like food that they can walk on.  After they walk in it, nobody else has any desire to even try it.  Smart birds.
Tessie and Zar have center front as usual.  This year, they pulled out Tessie's red quilt and the RED mid century mod sofa.  All the comforts of home.

A couple of other penguins joined them.  One sits on Tessie's shoulder and pretends he's a parrot.  The other one has been using the brim of Tessie's hat as a slide.

I think he is trying for a "flight" down to the pizza.  It is directly below.
And the last box?  Spike is guarding Santa's cookies and milk.  For two weeks???

He will either get bored and go away or... Yup.  Spike loves cookies and milk.
I think that I had better go now and start making Santa some more cookies.  This could get tedious...I could be making cookies for the next two weeks...Every day.

See you Tomorrow.

Hi Casey. I always get amused by your idea of putting the mini people ON your Christmas tree.I would expect your friends are too.
The question is are they going to stay there for two weeks? Knowing all the trouble they get in, I doubt it!

Phyllisa, that will be their hangout for the next two weeks. When nothing is happening they will party. The rest of the time, they will be getting into trouble as usual.

What a great idea to welcome your minis in/on the tree!! And of course the pogo stick makes total sense!! I'm with Tessie on this!
I hope they all behave in the tree...

This is so sweet, and they look very comfortable on that tree. I could see them hanging out there for 2 weeks. Happy cookie making, I think you're right, you're going to need extra. :)

Well it is all very festive, but sounds like you have your hands full! Perhaps Spike will only eat the cookies every other day? Nah, I doubt it, he looks like a Bull Terrier...he will eat them every day! Have fun, they sure will keep you on your toes.
