OK...I still am not back to wiring. This is too much fun.
I dug out my supply of silk gauze and silk thread. I think that I am going to have to find some darker green, but otherwise, I have a pretty good selection.
The silk gauze that you see is some bargello that I started a while ago. Just trying out colors.
I am leaning more towards something floral. Who knows how it will end up?
The black with gold is going to need some touch up work on the gold. It is a bit crudely painted.
Strangely enough, the color work is very nice. I have a feeling that there were two different people on the assembly line....One with gold paint and one with floral colors.
Tessie has already made a list of the pieces that she wants. This table is my favorite, but I guess that she can have it, since it won't work in my house....A little small.
I am browsing through my reference books to see if I can spot any of the pieces in them. This may take a while and I imagine that the manufacturers didn't do them exactly like the original pieces. I would love to see if I can find any of them for real.
I am getting close, but so far, no cigar. As they say...
Very Chippendale like.
The reason I am looking is, I would like to find some with the original covering on the seats....I can only dream.
I need to check the Victoria and Albert Museum website for examples.
This is what Widget thinks of the whole procedure.....Very little. He would rather I was doing something that only took one hand, so that I could be petting him with the other.
Spoiled??? No way....Well maybe a little.
Back to the books.
See you tomorrow.

Hi Casey! Love all your new goodies, it looks like you had a fabulous time at the show. I also really like the floral rug pattern. Wonder who should get that one? Hugs, Sarah
Sarah, the pattern is a full sized pillow. I never thought of using It for a mini rug. Thanks for the idea! It may take a while before I get to it though....
