On the Brink.....

Of disaster....

See the big pile of wood at the bottom left of the photo?  Yup.  The pile used to be shelves....Now it is firewood.

I just plain wasn't happy with the shelves.  Neither was Zar.  So he took a crowbar to them this morning.

I repainted the walls, while he sat there pouting.
I kicked him out and tried Tessie's director's chair with the desk.  It would look great with the zebra print on the seat and back...But...Tessie is stomping her feet on that one. "No way! No how, is Zar getting my director's chair.  If I don't have that, I can't direct things properly!"

Well, I am back to square one.  I am going to tear the desk off of the wall too.

Back to the drawing board on the upstairs area.

Can you tell that things aren't going as planned this morning?

Meanwhile, Zar is still ordering books out of the defunct catalog.  His logic is, the books still exist somewhere.  Let the people that put them in the catalog hunt for them...When they notify him that they have them in stock he will order...Don't hold your breath, Zar.

Tessie is not terribly particular about scale...She has now taken possession of the carved ivory pendant that I just finished.  The bead is an antique.  I sat it atop a fancy stone and wire wrapped the two together...Now she has it.  Talk about fuzzy logic.  She told me, "See?  It works.  I just have to wrap the chain around my neck a few extra times."

Don't tempt me, Tessie!  This time, I am not going to stand for it.  I want my monkey back now!

See?  I can be just as demanding as she is!  Now that I have worked up my courage, I have to go and demand what is rightfully mine! Wish me luck!

See you tomorrow.

I like this room. It's perfect in winter with a hot fire.
