I am thinking that the conversation pit needs a coffee table, since there is no place to sit your drinks and snacks. Please ignore the hand in the photo. Just pretend that it isn't there.
The shape and the size of the stone slab is almost perfect for the area. There is plenty of room to walk around it and with a driftwood base, it will work. My rosemary bushes have plenty of drift wood on them.
I decided against two more rectangular drawings on the stair wall...Zar suggested his favorite clock. I need to put a new battery in it. Yes. It does run and keeps good time if it has a live battery, instead of dead.
The shelves and the desk still have some drying to do in places. So I won't get to do anything else to them until tomorrow.
I have plenty to work on whilst they dry.
I think that Tessie has given up owning the box. She grabbed the extra painting and I found her in the townhouse, relaxing....I will not be trying to get the painting back for a while. She has her jaguar pacing the living room and growling a lot if I reach in towards her or the painting... Nope. Not trying. She can have it. I would like to reach in and do some straightening and cleaning...But Mick is a good reason not to do it... He's mean, as jaguars go....
See you tomorrow.

you can't sit at that beautiful fire without a table to put some glasses/books and fingerfood on :)
I read about your hand..hope it gets better soon! :)
It is looking great Casey. I love the fireplace and the brick and I can't wait to see the alcove full of fire wood.
The orchids are beautiful. They are so realistic.
Hi 12, orchids? I think I missed something?
Love the clock!! Perfect for this room! And as far as Tessie is concerned... "this too shall pass"... for the moment she's staying put and keeping her jaguar close instead of getting in your way :-)
