Twenty Four Hour Chair Experiment...

This is what I came up with.  It took about 12 hours in all to complete.  I worked on it all afternoon and evening last night.  This morning I got up at the usual 4:30 or so and started working on it about 6AM.  It is now 9:15 AM and I am finished.

I had a picture in my mind's eye.  I knew what I wanted, but just no plan on how to do it.

This one is not perfect in a few places. I am not telling where.

The next one will be better...
I did a simple box cushion for it.  The base is foam core and the top is index card and batting.

I have done this elsewhere in the blog, so I won't detail.

One good thing came out of this.  I was forced to clean my glue syringes.  I can now work on details once more, without glue seeping over to where it's not supposed to.
Bunny could become more of a nuisance than Tessie at this rate.  The hutch is not finished, so he confiscated the chair.  Even before Tessie got near it.

This could com to blows.  Bunny has hired the Mad Peruvian Bunny as a bodyguard already.
When I do a chair that I know is going to be seen from the back, more than the front, I make sure that the back is as interesting as the front.

This one was made specifically for the basket shop...Don't ask where the old one went...Suffice it to say, The bunny has a great place to sleep in Zar's cottage.

That reminds me.  I haven't seen Zar for a few days.  It always makes me nervous when he disappears.  He is probably off inventing something bizarre.  Is there such a thing as a Bunny Time Machine?  Watch out for sabre toothed bunnies...

I need to go back and clean up the workspace...It isn't a pretty sight...

See you tomorrow.

Oh, the chair came out so beautiful. I love that it is so interesting in the weave! The color is great! I need to start practicing to make wicker, I love it so! I hope you can rescue it back!

The chair looks absolutely great! Yes, do not tell us what you see as imperfections... Like you, I see them in my work too, but others don't. ;)

Bunny has good taste. I love the chair and the colour of it. I'm even more itching to having ago at doing some miniature wicker work now.

It's wonderful! I recently got a little book of patterns for wicker dollhouse furniture from a friend. It's so nice to see yours. Inspiring!
