A Little of This and That....

Yes, I am still working on the Mystery box....Among other things.

Sorry Phyllisa, no princesses.  I did get a mattress in it and some drawers on the front...Obviously a box bed now.  Maybe I can at least get this one finished before Tessie's Monday deadline.

Spike's little brother showed up this morning....I can't find Spike.  I think that Tessie locked him up someplace so that she could be the model...
For all intents and purposes, the remote is covered.  I may still have to put some fringe on top of his hat or a chain for him to go around my neck.  I am always losing him.

Tessie is scheming for a way to use him in one of her places of residence.  At least I will know where to look when he disappears.
Lastly, I did some more work on the rug for the craft cottage.

Don't let the pose fool you.  Tessie did NOT work on it today.  I did!

It is slow work doing the vines.  After I finish those, filling in the background will be a  breeze.

I have to go back to work.  The real house needs attention.

See you tomorrow.

Hi Casey. What do you mean "No
princesses?" It looks like a
princess' bedroom to me. And I like
it! It would make a good stage set.
I must find a box to make one in.
Let's see..........shall it be for
Cinderella, Snow White, Rosebud or
Belle?

Phyllisa, the reason for no princesses is the desert scene. Too urged for a princess...lol. Go for it. How about sleeping beauty?

I meant rugged.

What a beautiful room! The yellow color scheme turned out so wonderful. I am loving the zentangle needlework. I believe you have inspired me to try it soon. Keep up the awesome inspiration of your daily blog! I look forward to it each and every day.....

Hi Casey. I have found a box to make my princess bedroom in.It shall be a stage set for my Dinner Theater productions on the fairy tales that are about princesses. I knew I was saving those egg cartons for making a castle some day!So I shall be revisiting your instructions on stonework soon.
Did you make that chair that Tessie is sitting in?

Phyllisa, the chair is an old "Take a Seat" cast resin one. I found it in a thrift shop for a dollar! It would be an easy one to make. All straight pieces of wood. It actually a little under scale, but it works. Tessie likes it because it is easy to move....

Hi Casey! I adore little bed alcoves such as what you have carved out of that box. It is Very pretty and very feminine! I love your choice of fabrics too and the color is perfect to begin Sweet Dreaming in!

Maybe it's Rapunzel's tower. That's what the window reminds me of.

Everything is looking great as usual. Anxiously awaiting the end "reveal". Casey, have u ever tried locker hooking in mini? I've done a rug in full size and loved it. Wondered how the technique might work in mini.-Marilyn from Canada

I do the same stitch with a needle. It is much easier and faster. The little peach colored rya rug in the Weaver's Workshop was done that way.

I do have a latch hook that small...Two in fact. They were for fixing your polyester pants in the 80s.LOL
