Second Place Isn't Bad Either...

This morning I awoke to find that Brae had won the About.com Blog of the Year 2013 award.  I was not surprised.  She writes a good blog with a lot of information.

I am happy with second.  After all, as I stated early on about five years ago, I am writing this as a record of my accomplishments in mini with tutorials and a few other things on the side.  If anyone reads what I write, it is an added bonus.  I had first place for two years and it is about time to pass it on.

I want to thank all of the people that have stuck with me all this time and some that have jumped aboard along the way. I will continue to blog daily and I hope that some of you will stick around.  I like the company. So does Tessie!

Brae, Congratulations on your win! It is well deserved.

More Later today.  See you then.

I think Second Place is honorable, and it's remarkable that you won two years in a row. I voted, and it was neck and neck until the very end! Blogging daily is quite a commitment and I admire you a lot for your level of commitment. Lately I have been wanting to make baskets and have found numerous helpful tutorial on basket tutorials on your blog!
Keep up the good work!

Congratulations on a tight race. To be up there in the top two is pretty darn good. I started following you a few months ago and really enjoy your posts and Tessie's antics!

Dear Casey! You will always be a winner in my eyes. I have learned so much from you. You have so many superb tutorials on your blog. And the little guys, I love them so much. To think that you made them yourself out of clay just amazes me. And, you bring them alive each day to entertain us. I will always stick around because you make me laugh and to make people laugh is always a good thing. Love you and the terrible three!

Dear Casey, I live in Turkey where miniatures are not a common hobby. I love miniatures so I had to learn everything on the internet. Your blog is so valuable to me, I really learned so much. I think you are a great artist and as a dedicated silent follower I wanted to take this opportunity and thank you sooo much for this wonderful blog. I know how much work goes into writing a good blog, I think you are also a great story teller which makes your blog real fun. I guess 1st place on this contest would be a nice motivation for you, but please don't forget that you are number 1 for many many others :) Warm regards, Ebru

I hope you continue for many years to come - and that I am lucky enough to be able to be around to read all of your posts. Congratulations on your very high results - regardless of position. - Marilyn
