I don't think that they did much of anything the other day when I asked them to clean up.
There is a bright side to it though. I found these. I am sure that they are probably somewhere else on the blog, but I don't remember where.
They are made with microscope slides, copper tape and photos of paintings. They are brighter than they appear in this photo. I am sure that I must have made them for this cottage. That's where they were stored all this time.
I simply cut the pictures to fit the slide and then wrapped the edges with copper foil tape. They are decorated with fancy gold self stick strips that I got at a mini show. Quick craft.
The gesso dried without a hitch this time...It probably just really needed two coats to fight the weather.
It was 19.5 degrees F, when I got up this morning. It is two in the afternoon and it is only 40.
We got up to frozen pipes this morning... It took us hours to get the water working right.
April and Amare came over so that kept me away from minis.
Later we have an appointment with the vet for Mookie...He is 18 and not as well as he could be. Keeping our fingers crossed for him.
Anyway, not a great day for minis, overall.
If you look closely at the photo of the end of the house, you will see some pencil marks where I am planning to do stone work. That will have to wait until tomorrow now. If I am going to use the air drying clay, I would prefer to do the whole side at once.
I did manage to finish the rug. I trimmed it and colored the raw edges with a matching sharpie type pen.
It just may stay in the bathroom. It looks nice in front of the
I have to go get ready to go to the vet now...Wish us luck!
See you tomorrow.

My goodness, I hope the weather in the desert warms up soon. It must be hard for you not being used to the cold. Also, you probably don't have much of a winter wardrobe, like a warm coat and boots. Hope Mookie will be okay. My daughter got herself two cats and she's crazy about them. She talks about them all the time!
Hi Casey. First of all the important stuff...........about Mookie. He is looking good for his age. He must have enjoyed your company to stay around this long. Give him a hug for me because he is my favorite cat online.I'll keep him in my prayers.
The Clockwork Cottage looks good so far. That is one interesting sink! That's a novel way to frame pictures using slides and foiling tape.

Having just gone through the loss of my boy, know that Mookie and you all are in my thoughts. Fingers crossed he is well. That's been one of the things helping to keep my spirits up is nursing a kitten back to health during all of my holiday season. The turn around has been uplifting to watch.
It's 30's here,and been raining non-stop. Miserable out.
I hope that Mookie is ok. I have 3 cats that I adore. They're family. I hope for alls sake, that he's ok and will be around to keep the two-some in line for a long time to come. (Keep in-line/join in the shenanigans...either or. hehe)
I love your rug. I need to get back and finish quite a few stitching projects I have here and there. I'm a kindered spirit in that way that I get easily distracted or bored with one thing and go to another. :D
The little frames are adorable. I'd love to try that with some glass pieces I have. I don't have the copper tape, so maybe I can improvise. Add it to the list!!
Anyways, have a good nite. Good luck with Mookie. I'll be thinking about you guys.

Hi Casey,
Give Mookie a greta big hug from giac please. You got quite a bit done. I'm glad the gesso dryed properly and I just love the rug. Great work. I hope you don't have any more trouble with the pipes
Big hug,
Giac

Dylan is sending Mookie his love. Hope everything goes well for him.
Blessings,
Kathi
I do hope Mookie is ok. 18 is a venerable age for a cat..and well, he doesn't look his age at all.
I'm sure he'll be fine. Veterinary care is so good, these days. Cats are living longer and longer, just like people!
