Tucson, We Have a Problem....

Here's the problem....With Amare starting to walk, we didn't think that it would be wise to put up our usual seven foot tree.

So....it will be four and a half feet, on top of the chest in the living room.  That puts it out of reach...Just a wee bit out of reach...

It is a nice little tree, or will be when it is fancied up.  Therein lies the difficulty.

Every year, I do the mini vignettes and stash them here and there in the tree...This year, not so much...
I have five that are pre made and ready to decorate differently every Christmas.  I usually have a few other scenes hidden here and there in the big tree, for people to find.

I am running in circles, looking for places to put them.  So far no luck.

I am going to have to keep thinking.  Maybe one hidden in each room of the big house?  Boring.

Anyway,  here's another place to find minis.

See the little bear and the sewing machine painted for Christmas.  They were both Christmas ornaments at Joanne's Fabric and Crafts one year.  I tell you, minis are taking over the world!

I am going back to think on this problem some more now...Any ideas?

See you tomorrow.

Hi Casey. I would use the vignettes
as Christmas decorations wherever there is a space. This could be on tables, mantels, bookcases or shelves.Non-Christmas items could be packed away and these put in their place.

Hi there, I just found you via Claudia's blog. I would like to invite you to look at my wonderful dollhouse that I got last Christmas. If you visit my blog, there is a link on the upper right sidebar to get to my dollhouse post. Nice to meet you!

I always put up a big tree when my children were little.... but I only put soft unbreakable ornaments on the lower part.... and I wired the tree to the walls (picture it in a corner) so it could not fall over! Much more fun when you can relax a little! Maybe the vignettes can sit on windowsills? Or hang them from the curtain rods ...?
I agree... you're in trouble!

I think playing with that sweet boy will be much more fun than any giant tree and a few delicate decoration can wait one year, if you can't find a spot out of reach ;)

Happy Holiday to you and yours Casey!

I'm with Phyllisa, Casey! I think it's the best solution! My Christmas tree is not big anymore. It stands on the buffet in my dining room.

Hello Casey,
I don't know how exactly, but could you suspend them anywhere? Of lighting fixtures, curtain rods, suspended ceiling...
Big hug,
Giac
