One of Those Days....

Six days left....This morning we spent the time moving furniture, vacuuming and shampooing the carpet....

That takes a lot more time than shampooing hair!  Then you have to do the reverse and put everything back where it was.

We do have a Christmas tree, such as it is, now..  It is about 1/2 the size of our usual tree.  We had to put it up on a cabinet out of the reach of Amare. He can reach the edge of the cabinet if he stands on his tippy toes.

I don't know what we will do next year....Probably suspend the tree from the ceiling...
In case you can't tell, I didn't manage to get ANY minis done.  I did work on the cleaning of the workroom whilst Walter manipulated the carpet cleaner around the house.

I locked myself in and, miracle of miracles, The baskets are empty now!  Oh, OK, I still have one tiny basket full of stuff left over, but that is a far cry from the two laundry baskets from last week.

This afternoon was Wednesday Witches, so no minis then either.

Meanwhile, the party is still going on in the townhouse.

Tessie keeps poking her head out the door, looking for more guests...I think that she has just about everyone that is anyone in the house now.
It is definitely looking a lot like Christmas  a little more each day....

Sorry about the mini situation.  Tomorrow.  I promise.

See you then.

Your Christmas tree is very pretty, we haven't got one, yet, you never know though I may be inspired to put one up in the window at the last minute! Have a wonderful Christmas and I look forward to seeing more of Tessie's capers in the New Year.

I think that there's a little boy in your life who is going to be very spoiled on Christmas day judging from all those big parcels under the tree. Looks like Santa came early!

Hello Casey,
Real life: sometimes you just can't work around it!
I love the tree! I've been trying to figure out a way to hang one upside down from the ceiling one year...it's the surrealist in me!
Big hug,
Giac
(Giac, I accidentally deleted this comment on my iPad. So sorry. I am putting it back the only way I know how.)
