Wednesday is for Witches...

Not a lot of mini stuff going on.  I did get some more knitting done on one of the Christmas scarves.  Did I mention that I love the Lion Brand Amazing yarn?

So does Tessie....She seems to think that this is a VERY long blanket for her...Dream on, Tessie.  This one's not yours.  Christmas is coming.

For minis, I took along a bunch of mini gourds and seed pods and marked them for cutting and drilling.  Finished that part.  Now for the hard work....

Just as I was writing this, Walter came in and handed me a bit of Autumn...He spent the last two days in Michigan and a lot of time on air planes.  He did bring me a present...(thanks Walter)Which Tessie immediately confiscated.
We don't see many trees of the color changing variety around here, so this is a special treat...and I am a lot bigger than Tessie....She can either hand them over or I am going to fight for them.  Take your pick Tessie.  How do you want to do this?
I think that she is smart enough to hand them over without a fight...We shall find out shortly...

See you tomorrow.

Hi Casey. It's interesting that you would think having a few fall leaves is a special treat. Here in the Pacific Northwest, we take the changing seasons for granted. But I always do something with the fall leaves. I press them for future projects, arrange them on tables, and tuck them in wreaths. This year, I used a few oak leaves, which I painted and pressed on a shirt and pillows for a bit of autumn style.

Plenty of leaves in Ottawa, Casey. The trees are so beautiful. Yesterday, I got up very early, unusual for me, and after breakfast I looked out my dining room window just in time to see some trees across the street turn to gold as the sun hit them in just such a special way. I never saw anything so beautiful! It was almost heavenly! Anyways, enjoy your leaves, dear friend! So very thoughtful of Walter!

I've been gathering colored leaves myself. We didn't see those in Florida so I am captured by their beauty. Can't wait to see what you do with yours!

What a sweeheart you have in Walter! Oh my goodness. That has to be one of the most thoughtful gestures yet..."a bouquet" of autumn leaves. Who would have thought it? Obviously, your dear Walter, that's who! Bless him. They certainly do capture the essence of the season. Look at those vibrant colors. Extraordinary. I miss the mid-west!!! We get the changing colors here in Montana, but nothing quite as spectacular as the array that you have in your grateful little hands. How pretty. Enjoy!!

if you want leaves I have a ton of them in my yard, you're more than welcomed to come get as many as you want.

We spent 3 days raking leaves and bagging them, we still have a ton that we put in the Kennel (Jack jack and Honey love playing in them)

if I never see another leaf....well you know how that goes

Hi Casey.Yesterday I took a "tour" of your Rusty Needle shop and Buttercup Bookshop AGAIN. They are
incredible! I LOVE them. I'm using them for inspiration to make shops for myself, although mine will be roombox size. I love your great ideas for making skeins of yarn and folds of fabric and books. Thanks
for sharing all your creativity!
