All Better Now....

Yesterday, I sat in a chair at the end of the bed and worked on the remote cozy.  I think it paid off.  I seem to be back to normal today.  Well maybe not normal, normal.  For me normal....

This is the only drawback to having all of the Perle cotton handy.  Widget immediately jumped in for a nap....Have you ever tried to get the color of thread that you want, from under a fourteen pound cat?  Even when I got him to leave, Mookie took his place.

I did get some of it done, but it's not ready for show and tell yet.
Meanwhile, feeling as good as I do, I couldn't jump right into making minis again.  The house is a mess and there are no clean clothes to speak of, so I am on laundry and housekeeping duty today.

I did stop long enough to draw up some plans for the tall cabinet.

Zar is still eyeing the Navajo pot and Tessie is eyeing the cupboard.  Poor Cordelia... She may never get either of them back.

I designed and made this tall cupboard especially for Cordelia's house when I first got it.  It is a handy piece to have around.  It fills spaces well.

Anyplace that is at least an inch and a half wide and  five and a half inches tall is a candidate.

If you decide to try it, you will probably have to use the measurements listed or draw up your own pattern on graph paper.

It is a very simple piece.

If you have a gluing jig, it goes together fast.

The back piece is laid down first.  The long sides go to either side of that. The top, and shelves go inside those three pieces and are glued in.

The lines where they are supposed to go are marked on the pattern.

The drawer is built pretty much the same way.  Bottom first.  Two sides on the outside of that and then the front and back cover the edges of those three pieces.  Again....Gluing jig makes it really easy!

I am definitely going to have Zar build one.  Maybe he can get at it whilst I do the laundry and housekeeping.

Back to work.

See you tomorrow.
