I hit the men's department and was looking at the accessories. I found goodies! I don't know why I never thought of looking for men's hankies there before. I guess that I thought that they would all be synthetic.
100% Cotton!!! The label says so. Unfortunately, the dress hankies only came in blue. That was a three pack. The white ones come in a package of six. The price? $3.00 a package!
When I spread them out, I discovered that they are almost the size of fat quarters that you get in quilt shops!
Of course, the first question out of Tessie's mouth was, "What'cha gonna make me first?". She knows that a lot of the white will go into everyday aprons and sheets for her beds.
I am going to have to start haunting that department to see if they get more colors in stock.
In answer to your next question. Yes, I am working on the curtains, still. I have the inner curtains on the pin board and drying....Still to be sprayed another time.
It's hard to do laundry with one hand and pin pleats in curtains with the other....Tomorrow I want to start the very fancy Victorian curtains that involve a lot of layers.....Swags, festoons jabots, just to name a few parts...
For now, I am just going to be happy with getting the laundry done a day early.
Please keep voting and thank you for doing it!
P.S. I don't know about the rest of you, but I am really annoyed with the new double word thing on the comments page. I can't read most of them. I changed it this morning to make it so that you didn't have to do that. Now all I have to do is OK the comment. I hope this helps. Please let me know if it works without filling in the blanks now. Thanks!
See you tomorrow.

Thanks for the tip on the men's hankies! I must look into this.
Lucille, question for you? Did you have to go through the silly two word thing to put a comment on? I changed it this morning so that you wouldn't have to put one in. I was getting tired of trying to read the words on other blogs. Please let me know if you can do it without the hurdles. Thanks!
No, Casey, I did not have to type those two words. If I'm signed out, I have to type them in twice. So, whatever you did works. Thanks!
I think the double word thing is really hard to read, too. I will have to change my blog.
Love the tip about using men's hankies. I feel a WalMart trip coming up, lol.
Have you looked at fabric napkins as a source of fabric. I bought a bunch at a discount store a while ago. I just posted pictures on my blog, http://msminisandmore.blogspot.com/ come by and take a look.
Mary, I am not a fan of fabric napkins, because they are much heavier than the hankies. Also, most oftp them aren't 100% cotton. I don't use anything with synthetic content. It doesn't glue or pleat as ll as natural fabrics. Just a personal preference. Natural is easier to work with.
I will be looking for the hankeys, I didn't know they still made them! I don't like the double word thing either, couldn't make out some of the letters. Love your blog!
Mary, I went and looked at your selection. Very intersting and all cotton. You got really lucky!
